Jeff Buckley: 'New' CD May 22 2007-03-12 by Jom | 4 Comments | To commemorate the tenth anniversary of singer/songwriter Jeff Buckley's unfortunate death, Columbia Records will be releasing a Greatest Hits album on May 22nd, 2007.
The record company will pull songs from Grace - the only album Buckley saw released before his untimely drowning - as well as Sketches for My Sweetheart the Drunk and Live at the Sin-E to make up the cumulative So Real: Songs From Jeff Buckley.
The tracklist for the album is as follows:
Last Goodbye
Lover You Should Have Come Over
Forget Her
Eternal Life (Road Version)
Dream Brother (Alternate Take)
The Sky Is a Landfill
Everybody Here Wants You
So Real
Mojo Pin (live)
Vancouver
Je N'en Connais Pas La Fin (live)
Grace
Hallelujah
I Know It's Over

A realistic "greatest hits package" would be Last Goodbye re-released with Hallelujah as the B-side...
| | | Why?
This seems like a really redundant release. I don't see why anyone would buy it.
| | | This is terrible news!, I love Jeff Buckley but do we really need his work repackaged and sold to us again?
The collectors will line up for it though, and it will line the pockets of the columbia records crew.
