New Rosetta Album 2013-06-20 by geasoftime | 52 Comments |
Rosetta's fourth LP, The Anaesthete, will be available on a pay-as-you-wish basis on 8/8. Rosetta is financing the album themselves, without the support of a label, and will not be releasing physical copies until the digital sales allow them to do so. They also announced that they will be releasing a final Translation Loss release as an EP sometime in 2014. This will be released as a traditional CD. Rosetta wants to see if self-releasing is sustainable for a small band, and it gives their fans an opportunity to help them do so.
They will also be supporting KEN Mode in a North American Tour in August:
8/8 - Richmond, VA @ Strange Matter (w/ Weedeater)
8/9 - Brooklyn, NY @ Saint Vitus
8/10 - Philadelphia, PA @ Kung Fu Necktie (part of This Is Hardcore)
8/11 - Cambridge, MA @ Middle East Upstairs
8/14 - Rochester, NY @ Bug Jar
8/15 - Albany, NY @ Valentine’s
8/16 - Newark, DE @ Mojo Main
8/17 - Pittsburgh, PA @ Smiling Moose
8/18 - Columbus, OH @ Kobo Live
8/20 - Cleveland, OH @ Now That’s Class
8/21 - Milwaukee, WI @ Cactus Club
8/22 - Minneapolis, MN @ Triple Rock
8/23 - Joliet, IL @ Mojoes (w/ Grace the Damned, no Ken Mode)

Amazing band and I'll be glad to put some cash on pay as you wish in hopes of a physical copy, also album will rule as always
|
| |
Hope its an improvement on their last. Was a huge fan of this band so I hope this reignites my interest in them.
|
| |
Sweet.
|
| |
hell yeah, these guys are so fucking consistent
|
| |
They have a good track record so they will likely be taking my monies.
|
| |
Fuck yeah!
|
| |
Read the statement on their site, if there's enough money given on digital then they'll release vinyl (but not cd's though). Also they stated that the next record will be more "confrontational" and dissonant than before, a departure from the other albums as usual then. The EP will be more melodic and spacey, if I remember well it's planned as one very very long track/jam making me pretty stoked for both

"Hope its an improvement on their last. Was a huge fan of this band so I hope this reignites my interest in them. "
HAH.
Other than the song lengths (I prefer the long droning songs from Galilean Satellites), A Determinism Of Morality is some of their best work.
So yeah this year for music just keeps getting better and better.
|
| |
Not a bad year for post-metal. Probably.
|
| |
So stoked for the new album. I hope DIY benefits them in the end
|

I'll get on the hype train, but I'll be a porcupine's dickhole if they can somehow top Determinism of Morality.

Totally going to pay the going rate. Fantastic band worth supporting.
|
| |
Dude. Gotta go see them.
|
| |
Will not be better than Vertikal.
|
| |
I've got to be the only person that wasn't that into ADOM. I mean, it's a great album, and I enjoy listening to it, but I just don't find it that memorable with the exception of Revolve, which in all credit, is a fucking brilliant song.
|
| |
might be playing that boston show hopefully dksfkjlsfnkjsdns
|
| |
Just started listening to these guys a lot the other day, what perfect timing this is for me.
|
| |
I've seen a few of their tracking updates and stuff. It sounds like they might be going more original on this as opposed to the tried and true post-metalesque formula. I'm super excited for it. Armine's growls. Oh mannn

Kroner just fell out of his chair.
