Pretty sure that article came from the Tyler Munro that used to write here. Funny coincidence.
| |
Adler what are you doing?!
| |
Go to a better band, please.
| |
moe wasnt that good anyway
| |
Huh, that's pretty surprising. But I guess the proof will be in the pudding. I hope the styles mesh well.
| |
Wow.....bit of a weird choice.
Shall check this out.
| |
Just got an email about it. Quite surprised at the news though, the band seemed like a tight bunch. But then again, the man has a good reason for leaving.
| |
Moe's drumming didn't speak for itself very well. I'm sure he was a very talented drummer, but he never really found a way to speak above his peers.
| |
Cool band sucks anyway
| |
Band sucks, agreed gwyn.
| |
Uh, what?! Whoa...
| |
this album is going to be NUTS!
| |
Never got why Adler was considered such a dope drummer. Then again LoG was never my cup of tea.
| |
I certainly didn't think Chris Adler would be the replacement! Thought it was a joke at first.
CAN"T WAIT FOR THE NEW RECORD!
| |
adler's only doing the album right?
| |
Oh, he's just a studio drummer. Well that makes sense now.
| |
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
| |
yup that was definitely cocaine that wrote that
| |
I swear they mentioned this months ago during the indiegogo campaign somewhere. That's why this didn't come to me as a surprise.
| |
Definitely will be interesting to say the least.
| |
well then
| |
he was a good drummer but they could definitely find someone that's way crazier
| |
Lol wtf is this
| |
Didn't think this day would ever come
But damn, Chris fucking Adler! I'm excited.
| |
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK
| |
I could kind of see it coming, with Moe being the only member missing from the indiegogo video, and with his schoolwork being the reason for missing that, he must he really serious about whatever degree he's going after, best of luck to him.. just sad to see the first member leave after all these years, and during such an exciting time for these guys.
| |
it sucks cause they were friends. most bandmates aren't friends at the same time, hence so many line-up changes.
sad to see him go, and the end of the complete tight knit group
| |
been listening to this band since high school and always thought moe (forgot his name until today lol) was a solid drummer. nothing spectacular but good enough. anyway, i actually enjoy most of scurrilous so i will definitely check out the new one when it's out.
-karl malone
| |
Wow thought this was a joke. Moe carried himself well but never really stood out since the guitarists an bass were the musical force for the band anyway imo. Adler is a sick drummer. You can hate or love LoG an still acknowledge that.
| |
I'd rather have Adler get LoG back in their early form than to join an even more over the top overly produced band
| |
Kind of a bummer. He never really stood out like other members did in their music, but still a really, really solid drummer.
I thought I read or heard something a while ago about him studying something like engineering, which I personally think is awesome, but I can't find anything that supports that. Anyone else hear that or am I just full of shit?
| |
who cares. band sucks.
| |
he's in school for tool-and-die, which is a kind of engineering, i suppose.
it'll work out for both parties.
also hi guys
| |
hi coke
| |
I'd rather have Adler get LoG back in their early form than to join an even more over the top overly produced band
This is retarded, PTH have never even been well produced let alone over produced. And LoG always has sounded similar in some way on every release.
| |
scurrilous was awful can this band go away now
| |
Damn.
| |
Nice opinion, but I think the rating disagrees
| |
They're so good niggas be sayin over produced smh
| |
They should pickup Shannon Lucas full time, screw all that remains
| |
And about the article, Adler is not in the band. He only did session work
| |
I really like Adler, and their previous drummer never really grabbed my attention... like at all, so this is cool news to me.
| |
This is so what
Chris Adler's playing style is so groovy and flowing but PTH's music is like fijekhgjrfhquwjvgrwhjvre HOW WILL THAT WORK
| |
Fucking double post
| |
good on him this band sucks hahah
| |
New American Gospel probably had his best drumming, though really raw.
| |
Adler rules.
| |
hmmm this will be interesting. Chris Adler is amazing, but his style of playing is totally different from Moe's. Weird choice really
| |
if Shannon Lucas joined Protest The Hero... i'd be SOOOO happy
| |
it'll be interesting to say the least
| |
And lol LoG and PtH arent that dissimilar they are both thrash-y metal bands. You people are so dumb sometimes.
| |
gave me a hearty lol, chuck
| |
I've never once heard Adler doing anything even remotely close to the drumming on Bloodmeat, so I have to admit that this worries me.
| |
ugh adler what are you doing fuck
| |
I always thought Moe was a pretty talented drummer. He kept some pretty complex polyrhythms going on Fortress that made absolutely no sense to my drumming mind. That said, I'm sure he had a valuable reason for leaving and I'm still pumped for this next album.
| |
interesting
| |
Weird.
| |
Most interesting turn of events.
| |
that is legendary. LOG has blown their wads anyways.
| |
Shannon Lucas would not be the choice drummer for this band. What would he do blast half the time.
| |
"And lol LoG and PtH arent that dissimilar they are both thrash-y metal bands. You people are so dumb sometimes."
"they are both thrash-y metal bands" lol wow, and you say we are dumb.
and we were talking strictly about drumming, not the overall band sound/style. dumbass. the grooves Chris plays, and how he plays them, are totally different from Moe's, except for the breakdowns (but that's logical since the breakdowns are the least creative part in "metal" music today)
even the band said this: "“He’s coming from such a different spot than us. We come to heavy metal through punk rock. It must have been strange for him playing some punk beats, and some of the punk beats he plays in a heavy metal way,” says Walker on a quick break from his ten-hour day tracking vocals in the studio. “This may come out being one of our more heavy sounding records, or more metal sounding record.” "
| |
Dammit, but Adler is not a bad replacement, is just a little bit different.
| |
The hell is with the pth hate. And by these assless members, who I'm certain are all one person anyway
PTH >> Chris Adler yea
| |
don't worry, I think the drums will be great. Adler is an awesome drummer, it's just that he's been restricted by his band's music so we could have never heard all of his capabilities. I'm now interested in this release solely because of that haha. I'm not a big fan of neither of those two bands, but I like some of their albums, and I'm a drummer myself so yea.. really interested in how will this turn out
| |
Go get Chris Pennie.
| |
The fuck is an assless member? One who has no ass?
| |
Should be interesting!
| |
adler is awesome should be cool
| |
I wonder what a studio drummer of Adler's ability costs? Goodbye, Kickstarter fund! ;-)
| |
I never really cared for this band aside from a few tracks (mostly on the debut) but i'm interested to see how this sounds. It could be cool
| |
The last 15 seconds of straight for the sun make me excited for this.
| |
Don't you be so sarcastic bastard
| |
"I never really cared for this band aside from a few tracks (mostly on the debut) but i'm interested to see how this sounds. It could be cool"
Hopefully you mean Kezia.
