Like Moths To Flames Robbed

2012-07-17 by VanitySeason | 27 Comments
Popular Risecore outfit Like Moths To Flames has unfortunately had equipment stolen from inside their tour van in Little Rock, Arkansas on Sunday evening. The band has taken to Twitter in a desperate plea for any information regarding the crime. This incident follows a series of recent thefts of band equipment involving bands such as Animals As Leaders and Harms Way.

It's sad really, but I rather have it happen to shitty bands than to a band like Animals As Leaders.

Now if only the band would decide to call it a quit and realize they aren't made for making music.

That's rough but it's probably a sign that these guys aren't meant to be in a band. I mean come on they suck donkey ass. I just hope they catch the guy who stole their stuff so they can sell it all and get jobs at Burger King.

Why bother stealing from musicians? Most can barely afford to tour. I recall, Conducting From the Graves once saying it actually cost them more money to tour than they make out of it.

^So true. Especially on a huge tour like Scream It Like You Mean It.

Stealing music equipment is so fucked up, especially for a relatively small band like this

i like how people seem to think that bands being robbed is a new epidemic or something. it's been happening for decades and it comes with the territory of parking a van in a sketchy part of town day to day. it sucks but it's always going to happen.

I like how when this happens to a band a bunch of people don't care for they hop on the bandwagon and are all "Woot! So glad it happened to this shitty band!"

Truth is, it sucks for any band. Don't even like these guys really musically, but especially if it's the same guy stealing everyone's equipment. Hope they catch the guy.

Whoever stole from Animals as leaders should be shot via firing squad.

That's unfortunate, hopefully whoever stole it were some kids who can't afford good equipment and move on to writing great music with theirs.

Even if you don't like the band, it still does suck. And this does seem to be happening a lot lately.

As much as I agree this is bullshit regardless if they're good, you can't really sit and talk about how tragic this is and how rough it already is for artists when we all illegally download music, maybe apples to oranges but not by much.

And here comes "zwhobs" to put us all in our respective spots of shame.

Regardless of your morally righteous fruits I still think it's pretty low to steal the bands equipment (especially from amazing musicians such as Animals As Leaders).

Was so sure this would've been in Montreal. I feel like I've seen "'Insert band name' robbed in Montreal" as a news headline around the internet 1000 times.
