Gospel no more 2006-12-27 by pixiesfanyo | 6 Comments | Gospel recently sent out an announcement on myspace.com saying that they are "no longer a band". One would assume then that the show in New York tonight will be their final performance and sadly we will not see what the band had been recording for their new album.
A sad day, indeed.

No word on the cd coming out or not, so I'd say its safe to assume it will not be released.
They were good, I hope they continue playing in other bands.

Dammit! I just got into this band. And I live like 40 min. from NYC and didn't even know about this... argh. Oh well... The Moon Is A Dead World is amazing, though. How far into the new album were they?

On another message board Vinnie the drummer was saying that the release of another album and the show tonight are most likely not happening.

This sucks but hopefully they'll go on to better projects because Gospel was seriously overrated.
