I must've missed when this band was in their prime bc to me they make themselves out to be a lot more classic and legendary than i consider them. Green Day rock band, this, and then a fucking triple album or something coming up later on?
Are they really staples of rock history?
|
| |
they were the catalyst of the punk revival in the 90's. that counts for something.
|
| |
They were the catalyst for pop-punk breaking into the mainstream, I wouldn't go any further than that. There were underground punk bands creating good music throughout the 1990s without any influence from Green Day, whether you're aware of them or not
|
| |
damn it i was gonna say don't call it that
and yeah Green Day are pretty dope
|
| |
Don't call it A HOMECOMING.
oops i think i ruined it.
|

^ Yep. Way to go, dildo.
|
| |
don't call it a comeback!
|
| |
I have respect for their older stuff. I enjoyed it.
can't say the same for the direction they took with more recent stuff
|
| |
I saw American Idiot on Broadway and the entire time I couldn't stop thinking how I would much rather be seeing Green Day in concert. I got best tickets from http://www.ticketsinventory.com/theatre/american-idiot-tickets/
