The Dio Disciples are playing Bloodstock this year, with vocals done by Tim Ripper Owens. Sounds much better than this.

It's different since Dio's voice is unmatched and made the songs stand out. Take a reunion like Death. His vox weren't anything extraordinary but his guitar was and that can be emulated alot easier than Dio's voice

Voivod's current guitarist Dan Mongrain does an excellent job in emulating the work of Piggy (R.I.P.)

That guy is a good vocalist but he's nowhere near Dio. Either way long live Dio and this is cool of the bros to do this!

That's exactly what I was about to type. Nothing against the new singer, and the show may even be great but Ronnie James Dio WAS the band. if he's not there than all youre seeing is a cover band.

The reason that this is fucked up is because Vivian Campbell hadn't spoken to Dio since the 1980s when he got fired
from the band. He just decided to hold a grudge and now all of a sudden he wants to play Dio songs again. I smell

It's a shitty deal but when I started reading this I thought the same thing, this dudes gonna end up being totally hated just for getting a decent gig. Guess that's the usual territory for anyone trying to replace a deceased singer, nevermind one with Dio's image.
