pretty solid.. camp was great
|
| |
i swear this is a rap beat based on water levels in donkey kong country.
|
| |
in fact i'm almost positive
|
| |
The sample's from DK defs. This is one of the few Childish songs I enjoy but it's really kind of jacking Rocky's style and Spaceghostpurrp production-style. His flow is almost exactly like in Pretty Flacko for a while.
|
| |
also I think I heard 2 Chainz.
|
| |
If you're trying to make a point I fail to see it. Production was pretty damn good and just because a beat is downtempo/dark doesn't mean that Spaceghostpurrp is the rightful owner to said style. Lyrically, D Money could run laps around Spaceghostpurrp. According to you he also jacked two styles, didn't realize you could steal two different styles and implement them simultaneously. Just because someone draws influence from multiple artists doesn't mean they are jacking. Especially something as subjective as style.
|
| |
shit
|
| |
I'm not saying that automatically makes it awful or bad. And no, it has nothing to do with the fact
that it's dark, it has to do that it's exactly the same style as Spaceghostpurrp, and there's nothing
wrong with changing your style to adapt or being influenced by newer artists but it seems like he's
jumping this "trill" revival or whatever because I could probably play parts of Pretty Flacko over
this song and the flow would match exactly up lol. It doesn't mean he's a terrible person but
it is kind of riding the coattails of artists/styles gaining popularity right now.

| |
Links broken for me
|
| |
still shit
|
| |
Exactly the same style as Spaceghostpurrp, obscure pop culture references included.
In all seriousness, I think you have theft and influence confused. The dude is drawing influence from a myriad of sources. When does it change from jacking to just being Childish?
|
| |
I'm not even referencing Spaceghostpurrp's rapping. That's why I noted his production style. And because there's a difference between being like, "Oh yeah this is influenced by recent artists like Spaceghostpurrp, I like it." to "Oh wow he literally switched around and changed his entire production style from something maybe comparable to 'chamber rap' or beats based around sampling original string or instrument compositions to one that's almost exactly like an upcoming artist's style."
|
| |
ya hes traash
|
| |
I do not dislike it. In fact it's quite cool. I'm definitely interested in, maybe even excited for his next major output.
|
| |
nope.
still fuck this guy
|
| |
I liked camp, but this blows away most of the songs off that album
|
| |
not bad
|
| |
My favourite rapper but I'm not feeling this one. Also, I find it weird listening to him now that I've started watching Community.
|
| |
Sweet
|
| |
Donald Glover in his new role as Will Smith
|
| |
Don't understand why he gets so much flak from people. he really is a renaissance man in his own right with all the different things he has been involved in
|
| |
Link doesn't work for me?
|
| |
It only worked for me when I copied it and pasted it in a new tab
|
| |
D-Money. xD
|
| |
yea this beats the shit out of camp.
|
| |
I like Camp, but this song pretty much sucks
|
| |
Yeah that worked, cheers Trebor!
Song was alright, and I quite liked Camp even if it was rather top heavy.
|
| |
He gets worse every time he comes out with new shit... D moneeeyyy
|
| |
This is defs better than most everything off of Camp but I just feel like it's biting too much from other artists.
|
| |
i honestly couldn't sit through all of camp, but imo this is the shittiest thing i've heard him do by FAR. maybe its just that d moneeeeyyyy. incredibly annoying. used to have incredible respect for this guy when he had just released cul de sac
|
| |
I don't even know why I listened to that. I hate rap. I just don't get it. I know that's just me, though. But, based on some music that is somewhat related to that, I'd say that was quite poor...
|
| |
North shut up
I wasn't really a Childish fan until this song
|
| |
I'm 'a ramblin'
|
| |
That was a rap song.
|
| |
Cool
|
| |
yeah bruh
