Blink 182 is best summed up as being a one trick pony. Back in their Enema of the State and Take off Your Pants and Jacket days, they really excelled at what they did (Pop Punk). Now they realize that they can't keep doing the same stuff again and again. Since their self titled album and now on this new album they are trying to branch out more. The problem is they are not that talented of musicians to branch out more. Take this song for example, they really emphasize the lyrics and singing but they are just not good enough singers to pull of a song like this.

Decent. Hoping for more from the rest of the album though. It's not bad, but it sounds like an outtake from their last album or something. Where's the energy man? The thing that made me fall in love with this band as a kid was always the energy, whether they were blasting out punk pop about immature bullshit or the sheer fury behind the vocals on songs like "Easy Target" or "Go" from their self-titled album. This just seems...lackadaisical. Still holding out big hopes for the rest of the album though, hope I'm not let down.

What else would you expect? Since this band is on such a high pedistool, people expect to hear a massive orgy from the Heavens that ends with a Bukkake in your ear drums.

When in all reality, it's just a couple of aging musicians acting like aging musicians. I miss the Dude Ranch/Enema of the State days of snot nosed punks playing quirky fast paced music about getting wasted and cumming into socks, but they aren't those guys anymore.

That being said, song was ok. Probably be an average album, but I'm fine with that.

The reason people are saying they released a b-side, Craggles, is that Up All Night is from the s/t days. There's a video
from the s/t recording sessions where Tom plays the main riff. Also, this song is 10x better live. Doesn't mean I don't
like this version though. Of course, fan boy here... so...

Aside from a few new songs they played pretty much the same set this summer. Plus they performed way better than on the reunion tour, they sounded terrible then.
