this is gonna slay, I know it.
|
| |

the snippet sounds promising
|
| |
zola jesus track is going to be huuuuge
|
| |
Pretty enjoyable act
|
| |
How could this top Saturdays?
|
| |
Oh fuck yeah!
|
| |
woah in before jash ejaculates all over this thread
|
| |
That was pretty sweet.
|
| |
fuck yeah, before the dawn heals us is such a great album
|
| |
made my day
|
| |
very epic? for M83?
the good gets better
|
| |
i have a feeling this'll be their worst album, but one of the most enjoyable of the year nonetheless
|
| |
hate this band but we own the sky is so good
|
| |
goddamn m83 makes me shoot cum all over the walls. this dude put together the trailer track for travis rice's art of flight snowboard doc coming out in the next few months:
THE ART OF FLIGHT (click this shit)
|
| |
click that shit^
|
| |
Saturdays=Youth was critically acclaimed? Guess I didn't notice that.
This should be cool though,
|
| |
That Art of Flight trailer sounded more like Dead Cities era, which is awesome. Looking forward to this.
|
| |
I clicked that shit. And was impressed.
Echoes sounds like a return to the pre-Saturdays M83, which I liked better anyway. Any way you cut it, I don't think this guy can do any wrong.
|
| |
But Saturdays was their weakest release
|
| |
@alachlahol Cool song, suits trailer nicely and sounds like it'd fit perfectly on Before the Dawn Heals Us.
|
| |
this teaser makes me want to believe in god
|
| |
How could this top Saturdays?
Saturdays, even though my favourite album, is their weakest so it shouldnt be too hard, now Dead Cities... on the other hand, anyways this made my night
|
| |
How could you see it as their weakest yet think it's their best?
|
| |
Well people can have a favorite album and still recognize that an artist's other albums are better in
quality. I like a few albums like that.
|
| |
That's just stupid
|
| |
Idk man. It just happens.
|
| |
If your favourite album by x artist is y how could you say that z is better??
|
| |
Dreams seem to be a popular topic as of recent.
|
| |
I could maybe see you acknowleding that one of their other albums is the best, but x album is your favorite for some sentimental attachment reason. But saying it is their worst album yet your favourite, that is a bit weird.
The style of Saturdays = Youth is kind of cool, but give me any of their other full lengths over it any day of the week.
|
| |
Haha well I could say my favorite album by The Format is Interventions + Lullabies since it's
the first one I heard and it has more sentimental value, but I recognize that Dog Problems had
better songwriting, was more varied, and the album was just better overall. But I still play
Interventions + Lullabies more often.
I can really only say that about like 3 other artists anyways. It's kinda hard to explain without
coming off as nonsensical.
Edit: Yeah I agree with Liberi Fatali points. Though now that I'm reading it again it is a bit odd to
say a band's worst album is your favorite, but the point can still hold true.
|
| |
@crazyblinddude, i get your point. i enjoyed Saturdays more as it was the first i heard by them and has more sentimental value. Dead Cities on the other hand has more depth and is 'objectively' the stronger album. same applies to Porcupine Tree for example. i prefer listening to FoaBP over In Absentia, even though i recognise the latter is superior
|
| |
@crazyblinddude: pretty much yes to everything you said
@deviant: it might be odd but like blinddude said, Saturdays was the first album i ever listened by m83 and i still love it, but i can acknowladge that the rest of the discography is better and has a different and better energy but i still prefer Saturdays=youth over them.
@sleepyhead: exactly
sorry for the late ass reply yo
edit: btw i never said worst, i just said weakest
|
| |
Weakest/ worst - same difference
If it's your favourite then you must think it's their best
|
| |
my favorite album is worse than my least favorite album
|
| |
This can't be resolved lol
|
| |
Hopefully this is more like Before the Dawn Heals Us, and less like Saturdays.
|
| |
idk how this doesn't make sense to you deviant, you can acknowledge something as objectively better than another but subjectively prefer the other one
i'm sorry we're not all robots
|
| |
^this is music. subjective. if an album is your favorite by a band it is their best album. makes sense for me
|
| |
