"God I miss the alcoholic Metallica"
Words of wisdom. Never so true.
| |
Looking forward to it. Dunno about missing the alco metallica, the time for boozing is youth, nothing more pathetic then a bunch of wasted middle aged men.
| |
Will probably be good.
| |
God I miss the alcoholic Metallica [4]
| |
more like Metallica Machine Music right
| |
God help them
| |
They really need to just quit.
| |
Metallica should take notes on megadeth.
| |
gotta admit, I'm intrigued. but there is still a Metallica fanboy living inside me.
he's drunk, of course.
| |
What the hell is this even going to sound like?
| |
I expect they won't choose a wrong path with this , death magnetic wasn't an excelent album but it has the correct direction that many of us have been expected after that shitfest called st anger
| |
I bet it will be closer to their 90s material.
| |
that metallica pic is so fucking gay
| |
all diamond head covers
| |
Someone go remix Death Magnetic with some dub-step so Fr33 can get an idea of what this is going to sound like... ;^P
| |
I don't know what to think anymore
| |
No wait, are they saying Lou is producing, or is making the music with them?

Napster dude
| |
They REALLY need to disband...
| |
Awesome.
| |
"velvet underground meets metallica, oh well"
Yeah, that's EXACTLY what it'll sound like. Metallica don't even sound like Metallica these days.
| |
haahaha these guys are ancient history
I don't believe there are still people who waste their time with them
| |
interested in the album
| |
lol x infinity
peace
| |
I love Metallica but I am really confused by this news... However, will definitely reserve judgement for when it comes out. (Or I hear a track off it that makes me cry tears of blood...)
| |
"the killers ft. lou reed>metallica ft. lou reed"
This.....God that song is so awesome. And I dont even like the Killers
| |
kinda hate both so whatevs
| |
if there's a song off this album that makes that dude up there cry tears of blood then this is def aoty material
| |
Ugh fuck you Ire
| |
WHAT. THE. FUCK.
| |
chances are curiosity will get the best of me and I will end up listening to this

Read the interview. This actually sounds pretty interesting:

| |
"Pumping Blood" opens with a drone that breaks into a crunching march, goes into speed-metal gear and breaks into free-fall sections – all over seven minutes, cut live in one take. Another track, "Mistress Dread," features Reed singing across a relentless staccato riff played at manic velocity.
| |
SALLY CANT RIDE THE LIGHTNINGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG
| |
Ugh fuck you Ire
wtf thought we were cool man wtf
| |
Re-Lou'd

| |
what is it about this site that attracts so many narrow-minded haters?
will deff be worth a listen
| |
what is it about this site that attracts so many narrow-minded haters? Metallica hasn't been good in 2 decades that's why
| |
Personally, there was a time between the black album and death magnetic that I just stopped listening to Metallica. There is a reason bands such as Pantera and Nirvana get so much love, they called it quits early while everyone loved them. Granted Nirvana is a largely different story and Pantera can not get back together anymore either, but the point is still made.
Metallica should have quit while they had it good. Then every five years or so they could have made money by having a reunion tour. (Also does not help that Mustaine left and Cliff died, Cliff was one hell of a bassist.)
| |
The Call of Ktulou
| |
Hating Metallica at this point is like hating the Stones or Beatles...
| |
Sigh.... I'm hoping this will be good but I doubt it
| |
Knowing Metallica they will release this for free, or donations, online.
| |
Metallica don't deserve Reed! WTF!
| |
Metallica should of called it quits 20 years ago
| |
I am so buying this
| |
This should be.......interesting....?
| |
Load/Re-loady kind of stuff. They haven't made a single epic "metal" number since the early 90's and I don't think they will anymore. Not surprised.
| |
Threeload.
| |
I'd rather get the upcoming Megadeth, thanks.
| |
should of hired mark lanegan. jk way too badass for this crud.
| |
if lou reed agreed to do it.. it shouldnt be a bad album
| |
I bet this will be cool.
| |
have you heard the preview gmork?
| |
Ya I heard it, just sounded like a typical Metallica riff with a voice over.
| |
the riff is ridiculously uninteresting and lou reed's vocals are extremely off putting
the last bit is listenable but still boring
still, this is only 30 seconds
| |
I think it was kind of a cool contrast when jaymz came in at the end.
| |
