I saw this on lambgoat earlier. Listening now and it sounds great.

Song rules so hard
| |
Never bothered to check these guys out. I should, shouldn't I?
| |
Yes fucktard, yes.
Jupiter and Until Your Heart Stops
do it now
| |
Good stuff, man.
| |
yeah if it was longer I think Planets of Old would be my favorite Cave In release
bout to peep this...
| |
my first exposure to Cave In was Antenna for the longest time, so stuff like this really confuses me.
| |
my first exposure was Until Your Heart Stops, then Beyond Hypothermia. but I've had Jupiter forever too, so I'm used to it.
also, holy Deftones impersonation. but like, in a good way.
| |
wtf I hear no deftones in this
| |
What a coinky-dink. I was just listening to Jupiter last week. It was pretty good, but I get the feeling Jupiter's hyped up a bit more than it should be. Checking this out.
| |
the first 3 or 4 minutes sounded pretty deftones-y to me
| |
Was waiting for the vocals to kick in... and then I was disappointed.
| |
Inveigh, that must be your old-man ears
| |
Yeah, Brodsky's vocals are really hit and miss, on this and on Jupiter. Which is odd, cauase it was his vocal work in Ringfinger that made me WANT to get into Cave-In
| |
Song ruls
| |
Inveigh, that must be your old-man ears
^^ too funny.
| |
cant wait to listen to this. cave-in is probably one of the most consistent rock/metal bands... everything they've done has been great.
| |
Hell yes!! Sounds so good..
| |
I like where they are going, it sounds like a heavier, more drony Jupiter, but still different. I am just glad that are utilizing Caleb's screams along with Brodsky's vocals. The bridge to the end of the song, his vocal style kind of reminds me of Patton a little.
| |
METAL BAND CAVE IN

m/
| |
song rules a whole lot btw
| |
yeah totes
| |
yep

This doesn't sound like Deftones, this sounds like... Neurosis. Sick stuff though
| |
yay!
| |
oh my gosh this is so fucking good
| |
Kinda reminded me of Boris
| |
as stated above somewhere, i love the fact that they're using the harsh vocals alot more now
yazz could you show me wich album or song? i need to get alot more into boris
| |
I haven't heard as much from Boris as I could have either honestly. It made me think of Pink though.
| |
Love Scofield's screams.
This is looking good.
| |
song is pretty good
| |
Wow that was actually good. Their shit is all over the place and I really only liked Jupiter but the heavy/soft balance on this seems perfect.
| |
Cave In goes post-metal...................
I love it.
production could be better though
| |
lol @ that being post-metal.
that was more like drone
| |
Yeah, this is about as metal as fucking Ke$ha.
| |
dish is grate
| |
METAL BAND CAVE IN

I'm still laughing at the Deftones comment... wtf lol
| |
this has been recorded for like a year why cant i have it right now
| |

| |
I thought it was pretty trance-y especially towards the end.
I really enjoyed it.
| |
his cleans are kind of annoying
| |
goddamn, fuck yeah cave in.
| |

| |
That was awesome.

Well, I think it's safe to say that I'm excited for the new Cave In album.
