Brain Out Of Guns N Roses? 2006-10-27 by Dave de Sylvia EMERITUS | 6 Comments | Rumours that have been circulating regarding Bryan "Brain" Mantia's continued involvement with the new Guns N' Roses are yet to be resolved by the band, but evidence is beginning to mount that the ex-Primus drummer has left the band.
Mantia has officially been on temporary leave from the band since his wife gave birth to their first child in June, however it's now looking less likely that the drummer will return to the band at all.
Psychedelic Furs and former Love spit Love drummer Frank Ferrer has been named an official touring member of the band in the meantime, however the group's North American tour is now fully underway and still Brain is nowhere to be seen. The official Guns N' Roses myspace lists Ferrer as a member but not Mantia.

UPDATE: Sources now indicate that management have denied Bryan has left the band and insist that both Frank and Brain are members of Guns N' Roses.

It's not really that they even had internal conflicts with this guy though. As it points out, his wife gave birth and he has other stuff to focus on. Cut GNR some slack
On the other hand, if you go to Guns N Roses' main website, in the article they have posted it list Ferrar as the drummer (dunno if it's because he's on tour or if it's definate now)

This kinda sucks, I quite liked Brain.
But Franks a great drummer, and knows all the songs they're touring with, so I can't see it obstructing any plans for Chinese Democracy.

its funny cause how many times has axel rose gotten mad and walked off stage or fought a audience member. anyways i can imagine the problems that go on behind the stage if you can see what happens on stage. great band though, i actually just finished making a jounral note on this on my profile. and seeing gunz and rosses without slash??? lol
