As much as I loved Hospice, they played Corsicana (I think it was) live and it was pretty underwhelming but maybe it's just cause i hadn't heard it before.
| |
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
| |
Want want want want want
| |
Can't wait for this. "Hospice" is without a doubt my favorite album of the last decade. I just listened to it last night, in fact.
| |
2011 is giving me such a boner
| |
Awesome
| |
day before my birthday.
depressing birthday this year
| |
May in particular looks amazing.
-Wild Beasts
-The Antlers
-Fleet Foxes
-Danger Mouse & Daniel Luppi
Need I go on? =)
| |
Awesome, awesome, awesome, awesome...
Hopefully it can somehow upstage "Hospice"
| |
Oh, and I found this on their website
"And though the record's not out until May, if you find yourself in Austin for SXSW this March, we'll be performing Burst Apart in its entirety at NPR's show at The Parish..."
Somebody needs to get some footage of that.
| |
Don't NPR normally record most of their shows? Hopefully thing is the case. It's March 17th to be precise too; SloppyMilkShake. =)
| |
Yeah, NPR will be broadcasting the performance live on their First Listen series, which is awesome.
| |
Wonderful news, if I didn't have an assignment due in college the very next day. =/
| |
OH my god this is awesome.
| |
Yayayayayayayayay

| |

redundant but: I heart 2011
| |
^ Seriously get Hospice on vinyl, ridiculously amazing.
| |
hey, a Sputnik band i haven't heard yet. it's about time to change that i guess.
| |
Awesome band, really looking forward to this.
| |
won't top hospice but will probably be awesome
| |
I really need to listen to Hospice. Not sure why I've been putting it off.
| |
hooray
| |
NPR is seriously my favorite thing ever.
| |
here is the artwork btw http://i54.tinypic.com/2cztrm1.jpg
| |
I am stoked for this, there is an article saying that this is going to be quite a bit different then Hospice.
| |
I'm excited and scared about this new album. Hoping the Antlers deliver.
| |
holy shit that album artwork rules face
| |
^They're notorious for great artwork
| |
isn't this just their second album?
| |
^never mind I just scrolled up and saw that they have like 5 albums
| |
They have three LPs and two EPs =)
| |
"6. Every Night My Teeth Are Falling Out"
I'm not the only one having these nightmares? :o
| |
I know right?!
| |
gonna be all i listen to for a month after its out
| |
Words can't explain how stoked I am for this!
| |
@XSebby; when I first read that title I never thought of it in that context, but I do have that dream a lot. 0_0
| |
wait what happens in the dream do your teeth just fall out spontaneously or is there a reason why they fall out? jw.
| |
For me it usually involves me touching my teeth and them moving. If I tug at them they all sorta start to just peel out. It's pretty scary
| |
btw
have yall listened to it yet

| |
Saving my new album virginity for the studio version. I can do it i can do it i can do it
| |
Oh shit, I gotta listen to that...
| |
Saving my new album virginity for the studio version. I can do it i can do it i can do it
hahaha i listened to like two tracks and then decided this exactly. i'm kind of in an awkward half-virgin state
| |
The way I see it, their live performances are so much different than the studio versions that the album will probably sound a lot different. So, I don't mind spoiling it a bit.
| |
Was definitely at that show. They played that album straight through. To say the least, I'm buying it when it comes out.
| |
Not gonna lie. So far this is incredibly beautiful. A little more lush and post-rock sounding I guess. Still, this may be a contender against Colin Stetson for album of the year.
| |
Rolled Together was insane but I dunno, some tracks kind of fell flat into 'nothing'.
| |
So apparently this thing leaked today...
| |
All I see is the web rip of their live performance...
But OH MY GOD!!! yes, if it did
| |
Well, I downloaded something off of Mediafire but I'm on a friend's computer and can't get winzip downloaded to unzip it. So, I can't verify this as being true or not.
| |
nah pretty sure it's just the live recordings
| |
yeah, i heard the live set on npr and...it sounded ok. the production on hospice was great though, so itd be stupid to judge immediately so ill hold off.
| |
To be honest, I've listened to that performance a couple of times now, and if they pull the production off well, this could be a major contender for AOTY
