It's gonna be black metal-y
| |
Song slays. Even better than The Watcher's Monolith.
| |
i prefer The Watcher's Monolith but it's fucking awesome nonetheless.
| |
First song they released was solid yet not very memorable.
This...this is better
| |
Love this song...excellent opening...
| |
i think The Watcher's Monolith is really memorable, i don't get why a bunch of you guys don't find it that great
| |
Both songs kill. I cannot wait to hear the others, especially the almost legendary "Black Lake"
| |
Song does kill and slay and maim and rape and torture and decimate and dodecimate and incinerate and immolate and molesterate and infuriate and mitigate and violate and rape and puncture and stab and gouge and just fucking rules.
| |
yes! can't wait to get the fuck outta work.
| |
This song fucking destroys.
| |
So pumped for this god damn album. It needs to be the 23rd already!
| |
This had a lot more build up then I thought it would, it's so low key. I want to see which song follows this.
| |
Ooh... I like this.
| |
This song might become one of my favorite Agalloch songs.
| |
i have yet to care for any of these new tracks
| |
ffs Agalloch why release another track! im so tempted to listen to both now.
| |
i have yet to care for any of these new tracks [2]
| |
With that current trend of releasing the shittier tracks from albums as teasers, things are looking pretty freaking awesome for this.
| |
This is so ISIS' 'Garden of Light' up until about 2:50...
| |
Oh fuck off ending, Agalloch have been listening to so much 'In the Absence of Truth' lately.
| |
oh right i was wondering why the song started off really badly
| |
i have yet to care for any of these new tracks
Yeppers.
| |
It's better than The Watcher's Monolith but still short of their usual quality.
| |
uggh i gave up the temptation, downloaded the watchers monolith, gonna listen after pierced from within album by Suffocation.
| |
so the watchers monolith is actually much better. This track bothers me as parts of it sound almost identical to newer Isis :/.
| |
^ That's odd... Can't wait to hear this. Leak already.
| |
3.2/5.
| |
this wasnt bad at all. Not as good as the first but still pretty great.
3.5-3.7 on first listen
| |
Probably the blandest song Agalloch has put out however, Ghost of Midwinter Fires > every Agalloch clone bands.
| |
i think hearing it in proper quality and in context with Marrow of the Spirit will make the blandness go away imo.
| |
Has that over indulgent philosophy ever helped you in the past because frankly I think that "listening to the album as a whole" business is complete bullshit.
| |
Hard to say just how better hearing the song in its context will make it. It's not going to take it from a 3.5 to a 5, if anything it would only make it from like a 3.5 to a 3.75.
| |
it has actually, estatic fear - a sombre dance went from a 3.5 to a 5 (and also my favorite album ever) by doing so~
| |
Can't wait to hear this and the other song in the "album as whole".
Yes, that's right. Fucking tards..
| |
Solid. Still hard for me to articulate my feelings about these two songs. I think it's definately gonna be a grower of an album.
On an unrelated note, I just pre-ordered Paracletus on vinyl. Can't wait for that shit.
| |
Sup?
| |
wuht
| |
That intro is the greatest thing ever.
| |
Can't wait to hear this and the other song in the "album as whole".
Yes, that's right. Fucking tards..
Oh man you're right. The album is ruined for me because I listened to a couple songs prior to its release.
Solid song but I feel the songwriting is sloppier than Ashes and the blast sections in this song sound somewhat arbitrary. And the delay guitar intro sounds a lot like the delay section in Pale Folklore on She Painted Fire.
| |
'That intro is the greatest thing ever.'
That intro also happens to be a blatant Isis rip off. Fuck this song, one of the worst Agalloch have ever done.
| |
wow you really think it's that bad? I mean it's nowhere near a favorite but I still really enjoy it.
| |
love the pic in the background. The song is like 3.5
| |
I still yet to see how this song is an Isis rip off.
The intro sounds nothing like Garden Of Light. I think a lot of you are just trying too hard to find something wrong with the song.
| |
Been listening to the song a lot today and it's growing on me considerably. The first verse is just awesome. The Watcher's Monolith is still kinda meh but this is slowly getting better and better.
| |
Oh man you're right. The album is ruined for me because I listened to a couple songs prior to it's release.
Sorry to hear. Keep your head up bud ;)
At least the album isn't as hyped as before, thanks to sputnik and its trends. The bright side of this is, it isn't as tempting for me now. May actually be able to wait for my copy instead of a leak, to hear what this new work of theirs sounds like.
| |
The song's good, it just sounds like Isis.
| |
So much better than Isis will ever be...
| |
This is great but I enjoyed the first song more.
| |
What? Agalloch gone Isis? Only ever really listened to The Mantle, but my mate maintains that they're "As awesome as Opeth". This has me intrigued.
| |
I really don't think either song sounds that much like Isis honestly.
| |
"That intro also happens to be a blatant Isis rip off. Fuck this song, one of the worst Agalloch have ever done."
Actually the intro is not an Isis rip-off. When I heard the intro, I thought, The Cure. Without the black metal parts, this could be a The Cure song. Listen to it again. Pretty good, but I am anxious to hear the rest of the album. I do dig The Cure aspects.
| |
I really like this song.
| |
LOL @ calling the intro an Isis ripoff.
| |
The intro sounds nothing like Garden Of Light.
Isis = Awesome
Agalloch = Awesome
| |
Album leaked.
| |
This song is awesome. Really on par with Ashes and Pale.
| |
dunno kind of disappointed by some sloppy transitions and bland harmonies
| |
