That wasn't terrible, and the redhead looked like my girlfriend so thats a plus.
|
| |
Wasn't a fan of the song or the video, it's a much worse version of Two Weeks. Good solo as usual, but so far this album is shaping up to be a letdown.
|
| |
what are they, breaking benjamin?
|
| |
Please take off those fucking sunglasses
|
| |
goddamnit....
|
| |
all that remains are becoming more like the Backstreet Boys with every album. They've fallen prey to popcore. Song was awful, besides Oli's guitar solo.
|
| |
That wasn't what I hoped for. Don't think they realise that the screams were one of the best things about All That Remains. Album after this is going to be a lounge-album.
|
| |
Is this a Limp Bizkit cover?
|
| |
Band gets progressively worse.
|
| |
Before everyone complains about this one song did anyone hear the title track? It reminds me of the fall of ideals and this is just one song not the whole album, so I wouldn't jump to conclusion.
|
| |
not too long till benefit of the doubt will no longer hold up...
|
| |
I saw them live about 2 weeks ago (irony)
What's Phil's issue with wearing a shirt?
|
| |
It's a little bland for the most part.
Also if I saw him walking down the street in those glasses, I would steer clear . . . major creep
|
| |
hahaha this blows. @bloc FTW
|
| |
.....so what if it has a good solo. This is terrible. Generic riffs, bad singing, screaming is pretty much gone. I give it 1/5
|
| |
That wasn't terrible, and the redhead looked like my girlfriend so thats a plus.
Yes she did look like your gf. If the one in the vid is as good in bed as your girlfiend then I'll buy the album.
Srsly though, I enjoyed the song. These guys are cool.
|
| |
Baph you enjoyed this? Hmm.
it's like Backstreet Boys metal
|
| |
Disturbed meets Avenged Sevenfold?
|
| |
Ah, I know what you mean proggy. It's not like I love them and say their music is the second coming of Christ. I meant that it's ok music that I can enjoy, not terrible but nothing special.
A7X ain't got shit on these guys, that much I know.
|
| |
I miss The Fall of Ideals.
|
| |
Even if you hate this band, its hard to see them live and deny that they fucking deliver. IMO anyways.
But yeah... song is gonna have to grow on me, but Ive had a soft spot for these guys since TFOI. Great metalcore album.
And the other songs they've been playing live sound pretty sick. Especially Some of the People, All of the Time.
|
| |
Right now it's about 7% screaming
If that changed to 75%, this would be pretty tight
|
| |
Even if you hate this band, its hard to see them live and deny that they fucking deliver. IMO anyways.
They're an excellent live band, they have a great stage presence and play flawlessly. They just need some motivation to write better songs than the ones they've released so far for this album, but it's too late for that anyways.
|
| |
Phil trying to be Phil and not Collins.
|
| |
I liked it fine. Not great, but okay.
|
| |
The title track is so much better than this
|
| |
It might, hopefully this is the only TERRIBLE track on it.
|
| |
No, every single one will suck.
The greatest hits will just be all of the solos merged into one track.
|
| |
band needs to stop making music. TFOI was pretty good but this is trash
|
| |
Yup.
|
| |
The title track is much more TFOI style, so hopefully the rest of the album will be along those lines not this crap. My god this a bad song.
|
| |
That was pretty damn weak. Sunglasses were an awful idea. Seriously, what was that? The lead was the only thing good about the song.
|
| |
It baffles me how a band can go from releasing something like TFOI, one of the best "new" metalcore albums, to being this irrelevant and bland.
|
| |
WE WANT ANOTHER FALL OF IDEALS!
|
| |
I love how every metalcore fan can only appreciate music with "screaming."
|
| |
Oh man. I'm listening to this and constantly thinking of new ways to improve it. I've heard some fairly generic material from ATR before, but nothing genuinely bad. This is pretty damn close to crossing the line.
|
| |
fucking terrible. ugh.
|
| |
I love how every metalcore fan can only appreciate music with "screaming."
Nah, All That Remains just sounds much better screaming than they do singing. If you can call it singing.
|
| |
I'm not disagreeing with you, but the minute a band stops screaming, the hordes of metalcore homos start whining and crying about how their favorite band isn't any good anymore, but they don't have any reasons why. It usually only happens when the harsh vocals are taken out and replaced with cleans.
|
| |
Well, the band they loved suddenly changed their sound, and that just ruins things.
What if Taylor Swift decided to do black metal?
Fangirls would be crushed!
|
| |
didnt know Phil was trying to go for the Disturbed look
|
| |
Yeah, interesting how far they've developed since Fall of Ideals.
Answer: not very far.
This song is meh. Needs more screaming, his "clean-ish" vox are nothing special, in my opinion. Good solo, some ok riffs, but overall nice and tight. Just missing a certain je ne sais quoi...
|
| |
Solo was ok, chorus was remotely catchy, and vid itself was something VERY forgetable. i've said it before, I'll say it again: the best thing about this song is that it's short.
|
| |
its hard to see them live and deny that they fucking deliver
whoa, really? I've seen them twice, and they were pretty god-awful both times. Phil was the only one with any stage presence whatsoever, and Oli had problems with his guitar input at both shows (i.e. you could only hear him half the time). Plus I've seen their DVD and Phil sounds like absolute shit on that too.
|
| |
That was god awful. The only redeeming quality that song had was the solo.
|
| |
You must've caught them on some off days then man. Cause the only issue i had with their live show was his clean vocals are occasionally weak.
|
| |
Someone answer my question.
Is this a Limp Bizkit cover?
|
| |
No. It's even worse.
|
| |
i've said it before, I'll say it again: the best thing about this song is that it's short.
I think that's actually one of the worst things about it. They could have put far more effort into actually developing it and coming up with some solid ideas, but they sort of just left it as a cheesy, generic song. Example: the ending. They kind of just stopped abruptly - there's so much more they could have done. This is the same band that wrote I Die In Degrees. They can do it!
|
| |
"This Darkened Heart" was sick. The rest blew nut chunks.
|
| |
def love all that remains. this is such a great song. who else preordered the new album??
|
| |
a7x???hahahaha....
|
| |
