Please Please Please Please Please
A return to old form.
|
| |
hmm after giving this track and a few from their latest a spin, ive decided to give these guys a go.
|
| |
If by "old form" you mean The Fall Of Math then please god no.... i tried getting into them through that album and that shit is just a MESS. It's a shame because it REALLY turned me away from this band, and when i heard some of their later stuff, i really enjoyed it. Still have yet to hear another full length album from these guys, though. Maybe i'll check out the one they released earlier this year... or this, when it comes out...

Song was pretty cool.
But the Fall of Math is probably their best work. It's their least accessible, but once you get into it, it's well worth it.
|
| |
I'm referring to Fall of Math and One Time For All Time. Those are each classics. Most recent two not so much.
|
| |
gonna have to agree with acorn, although i still liked the last two
|
| |
this is already better than everything on WWEA
|
| |
hoping it's like it the Hole EP or something different from their last LP
|
| |
Awesome
|
| |
This song definitely did it for me.
|
| |
I am one of the few who thinks WWEA is their best. I hope the E.P. continues their move stressing electronic and dance elements rather than rock. It is MHO that they are better when they do.
Oh and my reaction of course... FUCK YEAH!!!!
|
| |
they say in the interview that they are not going to tone down the electronic elements.. I personally hope they get back to their first two albums..
from the interview:
"'Sawtooth Rising' and 'The Wrong Shape' are booth more dancey, definitely, but then Pacify and PX3 are probably a bit more old-school 65. Pianos, noise, kinda big-sounding. Then Beats Like a Helix is basically just two minutes of drum'n'bass. 'Guitar Cascades' is probably the strangest thing on there, because it's mostly just ten minutes of massive noise with a kick drum underneath it and a mournful guitar outré"
sounds pretty cool actually even though I dont like the dancey stuff that much

coming from someone who doesn't like 65dos, new song was pretty good.
|
| |
ive only listened to the hole ep so far and i love their use of electronics and slightly different take on drill n bass/idm on the song wrong side of the tracks, but ive read that that and fall of math are the only albums that really featured the electronics so i havent gotten anything else of theirs, so this one sounds promising
