The initial singing sections felt flat, but that singing part towards the end was actually pretty good. I liked it, I'm thinking the new album will be good.

xplaugex, Periphery are very talented. However, ripping off Meshuggah doesn't make you good. At all. It just makes you fucking uncreative. Like half the other bands that do it these days. And none of them sound any good.
So you pretty much paused listening to one shitty band for another.

It seems different, but still waaaaaaayyy too much like their last album for me. and those ambient are kinda annoying. A fair few song on SS had them and by the sound of it they are back.

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm kind of hating the part in this song where Oli starts whispering (around 2:43). It sounds stupid and kills any momentum they had going at that point.

Other than that, the song is pretty good.

Count Your Blessings was dry, generic deathcore.
BMTH changed their sound on their second album in an attempt to distance themselves from the rest of the now-oversaturated deathcore scene, and set themselves on a path towards crafting their own, unique sound. Now, is it working? Are they getting better? Only time will tell...

Evoked a chuckle. Honestly, BMTH isn't THAT bad. CYB was pretty good, and even SS had good songs on it, only they were eclipsed by horrible songs. I've enjoyed both songs off the new CD so far.
