|
| |
It was great for the most part. Some of the breakdowns were rally meh though.
|
| |
i still can't tell if everyone is just joking and saying it's good but it's really terrible. like everyone is in on the joke except mordecai. let me in guys, i don't bite.
|
| |
This is great! I am surprised other people here on sputnik like this though, music as this usually only gets a thumbs up from me.
|
| |
@wachoo I actually found the breakdowns to be placed pretty well
|
| |
Yeah mordecai its not a joke. I love this album.
|
| |
The breakdowns aren't overused/generic at all. The album is perfect.
|
| |
Perfect. Thats a stretch, but i like it.
|
| |
I'm with you Mordecai
|
| |
I'm with you Mordecai[2]
|

|
| |
" although i can see the novelty of it wearing out very quickly"
describes most post hardcore lol. So I'm gonna enjoy the hell out of this album while I can. Just downloaded it. I love how bassy and atmospheric it gets. Sounds great with my Beats headphones. Srsry.

best breakdown is 2012. BWEEPY DOOPY DOO DOO
|
| |
sucks
|
| |
This is FILTHY. Could be the best metalcore of the year.
|
| |
I second that.^
|
| |
Sounds like another We Came As Romans/Devil Wears Prada/Of Mice & Men/Attack Attack/In Fear & Faith band. Maybe a notch better than most of those, but I'm really sick of that whole sound right now.
|
| |
Track 4 is pretty sweet tho...
|
| |
DONT.
Wom wom
FUCK.

Be Womp dooo
FAMILY.
wait what.
|
| |
There's a select loud few that don't like this album.
It's awesome.
|
| |
I just think that Fearless hasn't put out a good album in a long long time, so I was extra pleased when I listened to this.
|
| |
Notice the people who don't like it, are the people who generally don't like anything and tend to voice that, in a thread where people are generally praising it, repeatedly? Jus sayin'
|
| |
Yeah I don't get the point of not liking anything on a music site whose prime purpose is introducing people to new bands and genres not wanking off albums that happened twenty years ago while refusing to listen to anything released in the twenty first century kthnxbai
|
| |
I like this guy
|
| |
You know why Scoot?
NEEDS MOAR OPETH
|
| |
Will admit, the keyboard part during the breakdown in 2012 is pretty much the coolest thing
|
| |
Agree that it's a good album, but Telle (the singer) blows live.
|
| |
I agree with everyone who thinks this album is bad. Not because I "refuse to listen to anything released in the 21st century kthxbai", but because it's bad metalcore. For bad metalcore, it's good, but that's like appreciating a pile of shit for having the most shit-like qualities. This stuff's a joke compared to good "new" metalcore such as The Ghost Inside, Counterparts, Defeater and Called to Arms, etc. August Burns Red is another example of a similar band that's way better imo.
And really, electronic/dubstep/whatever parts? You know they only did it to try and appeal to hipsters who are starting to listen to that stuff more than hardcore ( me partially included).
|
| |
thats fine. This album is gold.
|
| |
i still can't tell if everyone is just joking and saying it's good but it's really terrible. like everyone is in on the joke except mordecai. let me in guys, i don't bite.
i'm like 70% joking

Loving this so much, mad respect for their synth player. One of the most creative out there.
|
| |
god, filthy is such a perfect word to describe the sound of this
lovin it
|
| |
Album fucking slays
|
| |
Listened It too It while Bloc and fromtheinside went at it...
Might I say.. Bravo you guys. Bravo
|
| |
At first I thought everyone was joking and giving it good ratings just to see how much people consider something good based on the rating alone, but I listened to it and found it to be decent enough. It's a throwback to when I loved metalcore type music.
|
| |
It's like a bad mix of Attack Attack!, Born of Osiris, and Oh, Sleeper.
|
| |
^ that sounds gross. still, i shall download it and judge for myself.
|
| |
one of my favorites of '10 so far....
|
| |
Sounds average to me, I'll give it a chance.
|
| |
@ Kotoftw
Where is the Born of Osiris in this?
|
| |
in terms of metalcore this album is a fresh of breath air compared to many of the recent releases from other metalcore bands, and their incorporation of electronic music (THEY ONLY DO IT A LITTLE!) is well placed if you ask me.
if you don't like it then simply don't listen, but I can tell you that you're sure as hell missing out!!
|
| |
It's worth about a 4. Really fun with cool synths and solid breakdowns. Probably not a classic.
|
| |
just got it, 2012 is awesome.
|
| |
Clearly they are ripping of born of osiris. Because BoO is...well..br00t4l, right?
please god don't take me seriously when I say this
|
| |
OSIRIS ROOOOOOOOOOLZ
|
| |
With a capital Z guys, Shits real.
