Online Premier Of Slipknot Doc 2006-09-16 by Dave de Sylvia EMERITUS | 9 Comments | Blabbermouth.net reports that exclusive new footage of the upcoming documentary examining Slipknot's rise to fame will premier online before the official release. It allegedly shows a post-fame Slipknot actively attempting to suppress the Des Moines metal scene they grew from.
"The story isn't about Slipknot's music," filmmaker Chad Calek explained to MTV.com in late February 2006. "I love it. I think they're one of the greatest metal-rock bands that ever lived. I own all of their records. And when Slipknot exploded, they didn't owe anybody anything. ... But there's a difference between not supporting [a music scene] and trying to destroy [one]. That's the line you see them cross in this film."
Calek will allow twenty minutes of a total fifty-five to be viewed through iKlipz.com from Wednesday, September 27.
