Been waiting a week for this news.

Sweet shit, torrenting now. Heartkiller was ace. Here's to hoping for a Venus Doom/Dark Light medium.
| |
I'm very sorry to say this was disappointing at first listen, except for 4 songs album is meh. Will listen to again see if that changes.
Probably be around a 3, tops a 3.5
| |
Who the fuck still seriously likes this band?
| |
i might give this a listen. i haven't given any of their albums a try since dark light, but i used to be really into them.
| |
"Who the fuck still seriously likes this band?"
Bam Margera I guess, i dunno
| |
never liked this band, i thought this was average
| |
Alrighty then. A solid 3.5-4, but i'll give it a 4 out of loyalty to the band. I really like the screaming here, if im not mistaken they havent really implemented that vocal style heavily before this. But i could be wrong. I've only heard a handful of their albums.
| |
They still singing about love, death and vampires all rolled up into one? They're so brutal goff
| |
Yeah theyre all in all pretty gay, but ive been listening to em since i was like 10.
| |
there's screaming? yeah, i'm pretty sure him has never used screaming before so i want to hear this.
| |
Venus Doom is a severely underrated album because HIM really gave a mature album, but it wasnt as poppy as their other material so the media didnt give it the attention it deserved.
this album however isnt as strong but has some good songs
| |
jrowa is correct in all
| |
ugh, hate this band.
| |
theres not a lot of screaming, but its there, and its competent.
| |
lol HIM
| |
Venus Doom was really awesome. This seems like a combination of that and Dark Light
| |
Never could enjoy this band in the slightest
| |
hmm, I can do a review if no one is planning to do one.
| |
Go for it. Im tied up with school work otherwise i'd do it.
| |
Seems to be slightly better then past material, Dark Light was average, Venus Doom was alright when your in the mood.
Might be good.
| |
Oh My God! This is really Good!
| |
Song titles bring the lulz
| |
I hear no super low vocals...They've done this album before better but not that bad....
| |
bloc yeah, these guys have pretty much exhausted all possible metaphors for love, loss, and bittersweet/painful love
| |
They could easily still keep the songs and just change the titles.
| |
Nothing I've ever heard from this band would indicate the kind of creativity necessary to pull that off
| |
Lol, yeah I guess you have a point. They've really been putting out the same album every single time.
| |
Wtf, Venus Doom was miles away from their other releases
| |
Spirit u dum?
| |
Less emphasis on keyboards, more emphasis on guitars. Much heavier songs, and a way better display of musicianship, nah i think i'll stick with my previous statement.
BLOC, YOU LOOKIN FOR A FIGHT BRO?
| |
Naw bro, me man of peace.
Even though I only like two songs off this band, both of them were more keyboard driven.
| |
What songs?
| |
Killing Loneliness and Join Me in Death
| |
Killing Loneliness was probably the best song off Dark Light
| |
Haven't listened to either of them in a long long long time.
| |
"Venus Doom is a severely underrated album because HIM really gave a mature album, but it wasnt as poppy as their other material so the media didnt give it the attention it deserved."
this
| |
that ^
| |
Mediocre, at best. The band I mean, I haven't bothered to listen to this yet.
| |
The album is like a 80's poppy Razorblade Romance.
| |
Razorblade Romance pwns this. I don't see the resemblance. As a matter of fact this is a catchier better musical version of Dark Light
| |
Venus Doom had its moments
but I dislike everything else by this band
| |
Ville Valo is such a douchebag I've never brought myself to listen to this band properly.
