I'm not sure what to feel about this.
|
| |
It's linkin park, what do you think you should feel? God I hate that guy's wimpy voice.
|
| |
Haha I hate linkin park too but theyre trying to help some people out here at least.
|
| |
its probably a b-side they had left over from somewhere that they maybe made a change or 2 to but they know that they could sell a million copies and help out a good cause... no problem with this
|
| |
Very beat driven. Much better than MtM. Still not sure overall though.
|
| |
DUDE i've been looking for that AAR remix everywhere (no homo, skrillex does good remixes)! im gonna
download it + donate!
|

|
| |
what exactly is the point of this?
really?
|
| |
well now thats silly. i'd much rather just give the red cross some money. no need to bring shit music into the mix.
|
| |
ok.
|
| |
you wouldn't buy the song, but the millions of linkin park loving suicidal girls will
|
| |
also, its not in the article but there's an acoustic cut from alanis + 2 good kenna songs (1 of them with lupe)
there are also dreadful entries from DMB and Hoobastank
|
| |

|
| |

|
| |
oh ha, well i guess ill throw them a couple bucks then..heard over 200,000...horrible
|
| |
yea, its a pretty huge mess there
|
| |
They're running out of space to put the dead so they are actually digging up previous graves and putting 3-5 more bodies into a coffin than already were there. They're also scooping them up and tossing them into large landfill-like pits because they have no other place to put them. The dead of course.
|
| |
In before "surely they've suffered enough" comments
|
| |
Terrible band, good cause.
|
| |
Hahaha David.
|
| |
I really don't want to make a joke about how those beats are so good they can shake the ground.
But honestly, wouldn't it be better just to donate some money from the band to the relief fund and not depend on people to buy the track?
|
| |
Love it. Also love what Linkin Park and Music for Relief are doing for Haiti.
|
| |
Fixed the article*
|
| |
The one thing that suprises me about Linkin Park, at this stage of their career is that they still know how to put out a good single. Even though I haven't loved this band in 7 years.
|
| |
While the new LP song isn't that brilliant, it shows they really are branching out more with their new stuff. This just got me excited for more new material by them (and yes, I love LP, suck it).
And, NotMrBlonde, I'm fairly sure they'd donate as well, but this is a way to get more. It's good of them to do this, I don't get complainers.
|
| |
Way to hurt this country even more with your poop music.
|
| |
@observer thank you
|
| |
wouldn't making it available by giving a minimum donation only be a better way to raise money? cos
you know a buncha kids will just steal it

Thank you, glad someone saw this!
|
| |
...That is true.
|
| |
Good intentions, but the music is crap.
|
| |

this isnt all that profound. the "buncha kids" would just steal it anyway, regardless of whether it
was free or paid. The downloading procedure is two buttons after u register ure email. next to one
another there's (download) (donate). if you want to donate, donate. If you just want the free
tracks, no need to donate. i don't get why this is such a big deal other than people like jumping on
linkin park.

All-American Rejects are so much better remixed than when their songs are played normally.
|
| |
Well, good on them for helping out but they'll be lucky to make $50 from that piss poor collection of musos.
|
| |
Except, you know, those artists all make shit tonnes of money. The artists sputnik considers great wouldn't make much at all.
|
| |
Least it's a good cause
|
| |
if any of these artists actually cared, they'd stop trying to get others to donate for them and do the damn donations themselves.
and theacademy, stop getting butthurt because no one is taking your side.
|
| |
How do you know they don't?
|
| |
good idea, but why the shitty bands? hoobastank??? linkin park?? seriously?!! dammit.
|
| |

i wasn't aware there was a debate and that we were on different sides here, or that or that anyone disagreed with me? charity CD's have been around for like...ever? Sputnik charlatans, on the other hand...
|
| |
what's sad is that these suck-ish bands play into this good idea just for some Bono-esque philanthropy cred
|
| |
^123.
If you are bitching about why it has to be bad music, just think about it. The majority of America listens to this type of stuff. They don't like great music. They're not trying to get hipster cred with their music, they are trying to get people to donate to the charity to download the song, which is where I see kind of an iffy thing with what PanasonicYouth is saying. I think it would be smart of them do also donate as a band since they are probably very well off themselves and who knows, maybe the members individually have also donated large sums of money.
|
| |
I agree with ThyCrossAwaits
|
| |
I think the Alanis song is the only half-decent one on the album
|
| |
even if they are only doing it for the philanthropic cred, at least they are doing something to help.
|
| |

also known as: i care more about other people listening to good music than helping earthquake victims

I couldn't help but laugh when I read that. But holy crap, it must be a mess over there. I'm sorry for their loss. My prayers are with them.
Oh, and that's number 1,000 on the comments.
|
| |
Going completely off topic here. Regarding that pic we have for LP (the one at the top), did anyone else think that the video it's taken from ripped off Sunshine hard?
|
| |
they're outspoken about it being a tribute to sunshine
|
| |
Really? I didn't know
|
| |
"also known as: i care more about other people listening to good music than helping earthquake victims"
No, I'm glad their doing something to help, I just question their motives
|
| |
No, I'm glad their doing something to help, I just question their motives
who cares what their motives are. this was a dumb point.
|
| |
The only one I cared to listen to was the Peter Gabriel song. It was ok, I like the strings.
|
| |
Too bad hardly any of the aid is getting to the people that need it because the UN and US Army are continously fucking up
|
| |
Maybe you should join the military and show them how to do it then huh?
|
| |
Good idea, some shit bands though.
|
| |
No, I'm glad their doing something to help, I just question their motives
Yes, and if you think that "what's sad" is their questionable motives, rather than the fact hundreds of thousands are dying, then you're a twat.
|
| |
Actually, this is probably a great selection of bands for this type of thing. Considering they're all rather popular, more people are likely to visit the sight and download/donate.
|
| |
kenna is not popular enough in my opinion. his first albums were/are pretty great
|
| |
I didn't say I'm against this at all. I'm just saying they do have some "Bono-esque philanthropy cred"
to gain here. Sorry for being such a god damn cynic.
|
| |
umm..
what?
why is there such a big effin deal about haiti? are people aware that americans are getting looted in haiti while trying to help?
Fuck haishens
