I don't understand why anyone is surprised by this list. All Metallica had to do was make an album that was better than St. Anger and chuck in a couple of solos and of course Ultimate Guitar or any of their affiliates would rate them #1 for being the comeback kids.

Well Ultimate Guitar is a magazine that doesn't sell copies by staying honest, they make money by selling a magazine the're READERS like. The list is obviously catered to mainstream tastes so they're simply creating a list that's gonna make them money. Bet they could make the best list ever according to Sputnik but if doesn't make them money then it doesn't do them any good.
