New Modest Mouse Album

2006-08-07 by Stormy Smiley Face | 22 Comments
"We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank" is the title of Alternative Rock band Modest Mouse's new album. The record is expected for release sometime in fall and features a new guitarist in the lineup.

Former Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr is now with the band and as already said helped write the material for the record. Frontman Isaac Brock is seemingly excited about the album, describing it as a "nautical balalaika carnival romp."

I'm excited! I've liked everything I've heard from them, new and old. And with this new guitarist I'm hoping they get even better.

Yeah fire I didnt realize they had so many albums either I only have good news for people who love bad news. Im guessing its the only good album since its the one that made them mainstream. I just hope this new ones as good as the last.

Does a nautical balalaika carnival romp mean something...what? Gyspsy/Eastern European or something? It's certainly an interesting description. Very DeVotchKa.This Message Edited On 08.19.06
