A new Ozzy Osbourne album? 2006-07-29 by Thor | 12 Comments | Ozzy Osbourne has told Reuters that he is working on two new albums and the first one could be ready by February.
"I don't want to release an album if it's not a great album," Ozzy said.
"I primarily write an album for myself, and if the world likes it, great," he said. "I'm just hoping that I can get a good couple of albums out."
Osbourne was cautious about when the album would be ready, but his wife, Sharon, who is also his manager, said "hopefully" it would released in February.
The self-proclaimed "Prince of Darkness" said he was working on the two albums with guitarist Zakk Wylde, whose band BLACK LABEL SOCIETY is one of the main acts in Osbourne's annual hard-rock traveling festival, Ozzfest.
"I can't say anything about the songs," Osbourne said at an event in New York to launch a Hard Rock Cafe T-shirt to raise money for his wife's cancer charity.

He hasn't been able to talk for a while, but he still does a decent job singing. At least he did at the last few Ozzfests.

The music will probably be alright, since Zakk Wylde is doing the guitarwork. I have a hunch that Ozzy's vocals will sound forced and boring.

i actually perfer ozzy over sabbath
i think that no matter how good the albums are, they will not get the recognition they would 20 years ago.
take ratt's detonator. one of their better albums but nobody cared because it came too late
i am still gonna check it out if it gets good reviews though

Yeah you're right, if that happens it's totally done with him.
And with all that "the Osbournes" mtv stuff behind us, the whole world of rotten-popmusic will probably make a fool out of him because that dumb fool made himself an album!
I wish him the best of luck, Black Sabbath is the best. With Judas Priest, Ozzy solo and Dio on a close second.
