In a recent interview with MTV.com, LAMB OF GOD guitarist Mark Morton had the following to say about the upcoming CD: "The music's influenced by what the five of us are listening to, what we're writing about, the context in which we're writing, our lives and our experiences. We made a deliberate effort not to be so politically motivated this time. We still care about and think about those things, but at this point, creatively, we wanted to step out of that for a moment, and address some other things. So the lyrics are more introspective and more personal, and I think just about anybody will relate to them. Not everybody pays attention to the war or politics."
Post your thoughts about the upcoming album.

You double posted the news after not putting in the band name the first time, but you didn't delete it. :-/
| | | The delay on this information was excruciating. The cover art wasn't as good as I had hoped, and the song titles only support my theory that Lamb of God is becoming a modern day Pantera. I hope the rest of the album is better than Redneck. =

Did it work?

| | | ShadowsFallen, you're pretty right. Redneck sounded exactly like something off of Pantera's Reinventing the Steel.
| | | Whats wrong with a modern day Pantera? I think they are much better than Pantera anyway. The vocals and drums and bass is all much better than pantera.
| | | i want this!
| | | Their artwork seems to be getting less abstract with every album. If they do the whole "modern day Pantera" thing, Ill probably love this.
| | | I agree with Tarantino's; LoG always have awesome artwork and some fantastic lyrics and themes for songs. ATPB and AOTW are classic modern day metal albums - I feel that this one will follow suit.
Anybody going to see them at Unholy Alliance Chapter II UK Tour this November?
