Exivious Post Album Preview

2009-04-03 by Dave de Sylvia EMERITUS | 6 Comments
Exivious, the heavy metal supergroup featuring members of Cynic and Textures, have posted a video previewing music from their upcoming self-titled debut.

Self-appointed innovators of the "fusionmetal genre," Exivious claim to be the first group to effectively marry jazz fusion with metal, and to that point boast two members of spacey Florida jazz-metallers Cynic in their ranks: guitarist Tymon and bassist Robin Zielhorst. The line-up is rounded out by Stef Broks (Textures) and guitarist Michael Nienheus (ex-Sengaia).

Exivious is scheduled for release on May 11 via the band's own website on a limited run of 1,000 numbered copies, each with its own original artwork. Those number 1-10 will be auctioned off separately on Ebay beginning May 1.
