'The Ecstatic' set For Summer 2009-03-20 by MassiveAttack | 6 Comments | The Ecstatic, the fourth studio album by Mos Def will be released sometime during the summer. Mos Def's last release was called Tru3 Magic which was a disappointment in the eyes of many. He has released 2 songs for 'The Ecstatic' on his myspace. These tracks are titled "Quiet Dog" and "Life of Marvelous Times". 'Quiet Dog' has a intro voice with a flurry of lyrics that follow it. Routinely Mos Def the whispers of various lyrics and the chanting of "maintain, can't stop the rock". Lets just hope the rest of the album is more diverse, like "Life of Marvelous Times"

cant say im excited about this
| | | Yea well I always look at his debut and have that glimmer of hope. He just feels boring and repetitive after his sophomore album (nothing great, but it was solid).

Lets just hope the rest of the album is more diverse
proves the point

| | | oh thanks!
yeah i agree with you on that count
| | | true magic had some killer tracks, but overall was pretty average. black on both sides was awesome, but not the classic a lot of people claim.
