Serj Tankian At Eurovision? 2008-08-16 by Dave de Sylvia EMERITUS | 8 Comments | Serj Tankian, singer with on-hiatus Armenian-American rockers System Of A Down, has expressed an interest in representing Armenia at a future Eurovision Song Contest- on condition that he can use it to fight for recognition of the Armenian genocide.
In a June interview with a Finnish newspaper, Tankian responded positively to the question, stating, "The idea is very, very interesting. It would be a very good forum to talk about this. A love song would propably do better than political song however" he stated."
Contrary to rumours that have been circulating elsewhere, Tankian did not hint at a System Of A Down reunion for the 2009 Eurovision, however it is not beyond the bounds of possibility, as both Tankian and his bandmates insist that the group is not dead.

Still, just as good as Lordi's appearance!
| | | I hope it works, but I really doubt that Eurovision will agree to his terms. If System Of A Down were to re-unite on it, however, they might be a little more happy to do so, and it would certainly make me happy.

Really?!
| | | Please no.
Oh well, Lordi's victory made people so happy here in Finland.
But still, Eurovision is the gayest event ever created by human.
