And then we have the issue of you not being an artist I know or care about, and Say Anything being a group I actually enjoy at times and listen to. So no, I will not give you 15$ for a song by you just because you claim to be better than Max Bemis, which I don't even think you are. Most of those comments are from when I was in college and had an hour or 2 break between classes so I'd go to the computer lab and d*ck around on a few websites (this being an obvious one). Right now I work 2 jobs, and after working 7 days a week for almost a year, you get tired all the time. So when I get home, I relax and go on the computer. However, I seem to have learned something you did not during this period of time: you're not going to change peoples' minds by being a douche. Or at all, for that matter. So get over the fact that lots of people here (including myself) enjoy a band that you despise and that your pointless ramblings are not going to change that.

i disagree with the concept of 'selling out' bc i believe, in a sense, all bands have done so (sans bomb the music industry... but does anyone not love them?). whats difficult among other things is defining 'selling out' and understanding the dichotomy between making a living and living true to oneself.
beyond that, i really don't understand your beef with say anything bc you really did not label any specific reason besides a feeling you had when viewing their show and/or listening to their music. its unfounded. but you know what? i have that same feeling about several groups (including prince, u2, death cab and several others that i know my ex enjoys). so for me to sit back and preach at you saying that your opinions are meaningless would make me a hypocrite...
but!
for you to get angry at those who don't agree with you puts you in the same boat as those who throw attitude your way. we can all have rational/irrational opinions that somehow function to make us individuals while having fun together if we just give each other a break now and then.

dude, you need to seriously get a grip. a lot of people actually arent disgusted when someone writes a song about a christian and a jew in a relationship because music is a form of personal expression and seeing as bemis is in fact a jew, im going to go out on a limb here and say that he wrote the song according to personal experience. im also pretty sure a lot of people can relate to a song about religious identity. maybe not you, maybe not me, but certainly, as shocking as this may be, people actually have thoughts that don't match yours. you know, the people you like to call 'sheep'? i would think them disagreeing with you would only further emphasise how they can think for themselves, rather than as a sheep would do, follow the herd.
you're supposed to be able to relate to bemis' lyrics, and honestly, if you can't on some level relate to shiksa, to the hangover song, or any of his songs for that matter, then i really really feel sorry for you.
i also find it pretty strange that you're complaining about say anything not being complex when that's the entire point. it's supposed to be simple, catchy and fun. it's not meant to be some progressive ambient blend of shit. suggesting that say anything add ambience to their music just tells me how little you actually know about their music.
