New Oasis Album Details 2008-06-24 by tcaporale | 7 Comments | The British band Oasis will release their seventh studio album, Dig Out Your Soul, on October 6.
The album will be preceded by the single "The Shock of the Lightning" on September 29. On the single, Noel Gallagher states: "If 'The Shock of the Lightning' sounds instant and compelling to you, it's because it was written dead fast. And recorded dead fast. [It] basically is the demo. And it has retained its energy".

Well, I liked Don't Believe the Truth, but this album is supposed to be more, ah, rockin'.
I always liked Oasis, even though their third-to-fifth albums weren't very good.

I wish these two (the Gallaghers, I mean) would stop making albums. I don't listen to them, but just the fact that they're out annoys me. Inevitably I will hear it.
In an ideal world, I'd watch them kick each others asses to unwind on Sundays or 'sick days'.
On the topic of Wonderwall, Ryan Adams' cover (of a cover of a cover) is tops.
