The Offspring announce "Hammerhead" video contest

2008-05-21 by Alex101 | 6 Comments
Huntington Beach, CA's long-running The Offspring have announced a video contest for their new song, "Hammerhead." The band has created a YouTube group for people to upload their own user created videos for judgment.

The hand-picked-by-the-band Grand Prize winner will be walking off with $10,000, the Most Viewed Submission $3,000, and the Most Favorited $2,000. Frontman Dexter Holland had this to say:

"We are excited to see what people will do to add their perspective and talents to 'Hammerhead.'"

After such a short quote, you might as well check out the group's website for more details, or you can visit their contest group that they've created on The YouTube.

Splinter was okay-ish. New single owns though, will be picking the album up for sure. :]

I think more bands should do this...despite the fact that it's really just a cover up for a low video budget.
