Dud! Ryche made something spectacular almost 4 decades ago and this is Geoff’s last stab at making a few more bucks off of the original’s greatness and lore. This is too noisy and compressed and his voice is no longer what it was (which I don’t hold against him, just part of aging). I know he has said he’s retiring soon, good.

you’ve got to be fucking kidding me
|
| |
Present day, this man destroys everything he puts his hands on. This will get 1 spin though because….
|
| |
Bro needs to retire
|
| |
did he just say "we speak the word / the word is whatever the fuck I want it to be"
also those child-chorus "ahhh" things in the background are so icky
god, this is awkward
|
| |
I liked his previous trilogy so I'm cautiously optimistic about this.
Ill check it out later.
|
| |
it’s bad
|
| |
Tate fell off so hard in general, even before he got booted from Queensryche
|
| |
oh dear
|
| |
25 bucks a disk and Geoff’s a happy man
|
| |
HE’S MISTER GEOFFREY NOW, HIS SCALP AS COLD AS ICE
|
| |
Man, this is just getting sad now. Just hang it up, lol
|
| |
"Tate fell off so hard in general, even before he got booted from Queensryche"
True, Dedicated to Chaos was abysmal
|
| |
The only Mindcrime here is Geoff Tate thinking he even has a decimal percentage of the talent necessary to make a sequel to the original album
|
| |
Lol
|
| |
this is pathetic lmao
|
| |
Nothing wrong with knowing when to stop.
|
| |
ok that opening melody riff made me lol
|
| |
I am so glad I stopped liking Queensryche but this is pathetic...
|
| |
JFC Geoff, let it go already.
|
| |
We didn't need this.
|
| |
Here’s Geoff’s post, obviously butt-hurt about the criticism of OM3:
“ F**k negativity, f**k cruelty, f**k the haters, f**k small mindedness… You know my f**kin name!”
Lol

What a terrible day to have eyes
|
| |
A terrible day to be literate and understand English indeed.
|
| |
The guy turned into the biggest disappointment in metal history
|
| |
I could go see him tomorrow night. He’s playing the original Mindcrime in full and I assume some of the hits…
My dad was a piece of shit but I try to think of the positive times with him. Bonding over that record is one of them. It was his favorite album ever (and for sure is one of mine too), his eyes would light up like I’ve never seen before any time I brought it up or the Building Empires tour. He’s been gone for a couple of years now, and I’d like to think sitting near the back of the venue and pouring one out while Spreading the Disease is playing would give me some closure that I still don’t really feel like I ever got.
But Jesus fucking Christ Geoff. Just let me have my dumb little moment instead of making me question whether or not I should go at all.
|
| |
I will be there tomorrow. I saw him last year at Delmar Hall too. It’s a great show I highly recommend seeing.
|
| |
Money is a little tight right now, I dunno. I might go. Maybe I can cop one cheap off StubHub. Got no idea what scalpers were thinking with that one, he never would’ve sold out the Pageant.
|
| |
Can’t trust a guy named in that spelling tbh
|
| |
or Brian’s with a Y
|

^Truth nvke
|

Fully suspected the gatekeeping elitist Sputnik crowd would shit on this album lol.
Did we need Mindcrime 3, not at all. We didn’t even need mindcrime 2 let alone this but it’s here and it’s not a great album but it’s certainly no where near the shit storm you’d be led to believe reading these posts.
I doubt most of the posters have even listened to it before coming on here to declare to the world that it’s a shit sandwich.
|
| |
I listened to the whole thing and it’s about 45 mins of my life I won’t get back. It has almost nothing of what made the original great, hell, II barely has anything of what made the original great. They’re bad albums and that aren’t just bad, but they’re fucking cynical. It’s genuinely pathetic and it physically hurts me to say that considering how much I love Queensryche. And you choosing this hill to die on makes me question your taste in music because this shit blows.

People getting upset at others having standards is wild. I've heard like 2 songs by this band
|
| |
jr if you’re talking 2 songs from Queensryche, absolutely listen to more man. They’re for sure my favorite 80’s metal band… if you’re talking about this bastardized version of Queensryche, then yeah, two is enough. The whole album has literally 2 songs I liked front to back. The rest? I could literally go to a dive bar on the other side of town this Friday and find a cover band that’s recorded material about as good as this, if not better.
