@Scoot- yes Moss Grew by Kayo Dot does feature just the founding three members of Maudlin and featured the doom death they were influenced by, but I assume the maudlin they’re trying to invoke on this new album is a lineup more similar to the duology. It just so happens that Kayo Dots most recent album and tour features more members of the extended lineup including Olson and Gutterman, who will likely be on the new record.
Does anyone else really miss Mia’s violins. Part the Second is goddamn magical. However the newer violinist Toby’s been working with the last couple years, Timba Harris, is class.

I’m 39. I remember a time before the internet existed. I’m thankful that that despite how godawful the world is (and always has been) the visibility of what’s going on is more prominent now. News is more transparently available despite efforts to obfuscate. Generally, people have much more awareness of what’s happening around them. Young people especially are more politically aware than they’ve ever been imo (this is a GOOD thing!)

The financially (and politically) elite want you to remain ignorant to all that’s happening in the world. Continuing to bury your head in the sand is playing into their hands. Actively broadcasting your opinion is absolutely small fry yet still important. Do it. Yes, awful shit has always happened, so why not speak out it now we have a greater access to information, at least in the western world / areas with properly regulated freedom of expression.
