Gazpacho's Fireworker

2020-07-09 by Raul Stanciu STAFF | 8 Comments
Norwegian art/prog rock band, Gazpacho will release a brand new album, entitled Fireworker through Kscope Records on September 18. As usual, there is entire story behind it, so far summarized by them as "a complicated discussion on the internal conflict between a person and the ancient thing living in his brain".

Gazpacho also unveiled the title track and detailed the story behind it: "In the song, the Fireworker himself in a Demon-like form speaks almost in jest making fun of the protagonist for being scared of him. It is the first time he speaks on the album and the next time he comes back in the final track "Sapien" his gloves are off and things get a lot more serious."

Listen to 'Fireworker' below:

Tracklist:

1. Space Cowboy (19:43)
2. Hourglass (4:15)
3. Fireworker (4:41)
4. Antique (6:24)
5. Sapien (15:22)

Same here, I remembered today as I saw some post on Facebook. Love how immersive their records are.

Very much looking forward to the record. I still think Demon was one of the best offerings of the last decade.

Demon was a really strong album, it always gives me an uncanny vibe. Molok had a good story as well, but some tracks were less enticing than the rest on the record.

The production on this track is probably some of the best they've ever had. As much as love some of their earlier output, I always though their production was a bit stale, but this sounds bloody invigorating in that regard.
