not as bad as havok but
| |
One of the best modern thrash bands around, if not the best.
Song wasn't amazing, but I'm looking forward to the album for some gym jams
| |
Love it, much better than havok.
| |
generally like this band but the production has gotten worse with every album since worlds torn asunder and the songwriting fluctuates a lot
| |
Couldn't agree more, this track sounds way too compressed
| |
Their first album is all i ever listen to. They got kinda boring and too polished after that.
| |
You didn't like Waking Into Nightmares? The drum production on the album alone is Demo Hammer tier
| |
this is a huge step down from their last one in terms of both songwriting and production. hate to see it
| |
i like their first 3 and a couple tracks from empires collapse. last one isn't bad i guess but not into modern thrash nowadays so its never stuck with me
| |
Meh
| |
It's really damn cool that these guys listened to the fans and improved the production on the track. It wasn't until recently that the first version was labeled as "rough mix".
Anyone complaining about the production here needs to check themselves.
| |
These guys rule so hard, solid thrash every time.
| |
what do you mean @NonApplicable?
| |
Great song, excellent musicianship, but what bloc said for the version that's currently on in the news item.
A recent/ample example of natural sound in thrash is Parkcrest's killer sophomore album, issued last year:

| |
their fans are retarded then, do they even thrash? the first version sounds way better. this is thrash, we need that rawness. and the drums are nice and punchy.
| |
"You didn't like Waking Into Nightmares? The drum production on the album alone is Demo Hammer tier"
yeah i guess i do, i rarely come back to it though. when i want to jam Warbringer i go with War Without End.
| |
I agree on the original version sounding much better. Wasn't happy with that mix either, but now comparing the two, the new one sounds way too polished and the vocals are too high up in the mix in my opinion.
Still the song is amazing, been listening to it for hours over the weekend.
| |
imo warbringer are good once the songs get going but sometimes the initial hook on each track isn't that good. imo worlds torn asunder is their best and that's cus most of the tracks start well
| |
group's pretty consistently higher mid tier in terms of modern thrash
| |
Everyone is entitled to their opinion about production. As someone who does something somewhat related for work, it's very clear to me that they at least put more time and thought into the mix this time.
| |
Maybe I should check them more seriously too
| |
Didn't like any of their previous albums with the exception of (some of) WttV, and if the singles are anything to go by, this will be no exception.
