IN MOTIVE commit Subtle Mistakes 2019-09-18 by amateur grammar vigilante woodtouching over the sanctity of what things are *supposed* to mean | 13 Comments | In Motive, perhaps best known as Sumerian Records' abortive pop-core supergroup experiment, have been revived and have released a new single and music video.
The song, titled "Subtle Mistakes", is the first song to feature vocalist David Escamilla (ex-Crown The Empire) who has apparently replaced Devin Barrus—whose short-lived tenure with the group resulted in just two singles—after the latter won the frontman spot through an open online audition process run by Sumerian Records in 2017.
Escamilla joins drummer Conor White (ex-City in the Sea), and Lee McKinney and Nick Rossi (both of Born Of Osiris) to round out In Motive's lineup.

I wonder what happened with Barrus. The two singles they put out with him were pretty good. This isn't too bad either.

| | | Dave is back, which is awesome
| | | The song is pretty nice, but not that outstanding. Production and vocals are great though, it's very polished but not as bad as Born of Osiris members make you expect.
| | | Yeah it's not as good as the 2 singles they put out with Barrus, but it's still pretty decent. Hopefully a sign of better things to come.
| | | It's... decent? Dave sounds kinda off here and it's not very catchy
