Suicide. Blimey

I was supposed to see them at Chicago Open Air in May
Never really cared for Prodigy, just not my kind of music, but Keith was clearly a talented individual. RIP

RIP legend
| |
For this Essex lad The Prodigy live V97 was earth shattering. The Prodigy on home soil were electrifying. Flint was pure uncontained energy well and truly having it. It’s a memory I’ll never forget. Cheers Keef.
| |
rest in peace, legend
| |
When metalheads, punks and ravers alike are fans of your performance, you know you did something right.
Fuckin' terrible news.
| |
fuuuuck
rip legend
| |
Awful news... R.I.P.
| |
Going to the big rave in the sky where purest E flows eternally from God.
| |
RIP. I grew up listening to The Prodigy, mostly The Fat of the Land.Thank you,Keith!
| |
Saw the Prodigy at dawn many years ago after the wildest festival night I've ever seen. The energy he got out of the sad corpses that were still awake at 6am was just unbelievable.
RIP legend.
| |
Another lost to mental health, fuck depression man shouldn’t be a thing. Only here once, life should be filled with joy not worrying about trivial situations/things.
RIP, this hurts.
| |
Getting off your neck for 30 odd years will exacerbate things a bit though.
| |
Probably but still, 49 is no age.
| |
He definitely burnt engines much faster than anyone else.
| |
:/
| |
Absolutely gutted. Huge part of my upbringing.

R.I.P. The Prodigy were the group that got me into electronic music in the '90s.
| |
yea same [2]
been listening to them since i was a kid. smack my bitch up has destroyed like 4 pairs of earphones of mine
| |
fuck...
| |
Rest in peace to a legend. Your influence will always be with us...
| |
Absolutely gutted. Huge part of my upbringing. (2)
Spent a great deal of my teens blasing Firestarter, Spitfire and Poision. Even then I was more into metal but Prodigy was equally heavy and hard-hitting and thought me to be open for other musical genres.
| |
Damn, Firestarter, Breath and Smack My Bitch were staple tracks on the alt rocks stations I used to listen to.
| |
it was suicide according to Liam Howlett.
| |
Seems to be a common trend for some rockstars, I couldn't imagine going from being the biggest thing around and worshipped in my 20's, pulling in unlimited amounts of cash and being the center of attention, to being in your 40's/50's, irrelevant, body deteriorating, most likely in tons of debt, paying alimony for sometimes multiple failed marriages, having to tour just to survive to make debt payments, etc.
| |
Never really got into this band but heard a lot of good stuff about them this is really tragic RIP Keith Flint
| |
Horrible news. RIP Keith. Absolutely loved The Fat of the Land
| |
Fucking hell this is terrible, they're one of my favourite electronic acts. RIP hard firestarter
| |
man...
| |
RIP
| |
Unfortunately I only know them because of Firestarter and Smack My Bitch Up but this is really sad to see. RIP
| |
There's no way you haven't heard Breath as well, that single was arguably the most played song on my local radio station of their songs.
| |
starting fires in heaven, RIP Keith
| |
RIP
| |
Smack My Angel Up
| |
too soon
| |
I was shocked to read this earlier. I never really liked The Prodigy, but their influence over many musicians I do enjoy was ever present. RIP.
| |
I heard he died from smoke inhalation.
| |
Straights at 8 quid a packet?
Fuck that I’m on the baccy mate.
| |
Goddammit RIP
| |
Goddamnit. This one stings. RIP hard, man.
| |
Tragic. Saw them perform at Glastonbury '95, lots of (faded) memories. Damn..
| |
Horrible news! R.I.P. Keith
| |
Breathe>
| |
RIP
| |
I know everyone references the first 3 albums but their new one is quite fun, and TDISME had some absolute bangers like Roadblox, Wild Frontier and Rok-Weiler. Even their lesser albums like AONNO have songs like Spitfire.
This one indeed stings, I wonder what made him do it. His music will always make me have nostalgic high-school memories, RIP brother.
| |
AONO bangs... girls and spitfire go hard
| |
Didn't know who you were Keith but RIP man, this sucks ass.
| |
Wow. This is terrible. He was an interesting person. I can't say I'm shocked because I'm surprised he lived to 49. The guy did a lot of drugs, apparently.
| |
I liked even their later music. they did that song with Sleaford Mods that was great. That was pretty recent.
| |
This is really bloody sad. You stupid sod Keith. RIP.
| |
RIP
| |
Crap. This is a pretty big loss.
