New Ladybaby song, lineup 2018-05-17 by DatsNotDaMetulz | 7 Comments | After being forced into a lineup change following the departure of Rei Kuromiya in late 2017, Ladybaby have returned to the spotlight with 3 new members to accompany sole remaining founding member Rie Kaneko, and a new song.
Featuring new singers Nana Ikeda and Fuka Kawasaka, as well as harsh vocalist Emiri Arima, the band have unveiled their new look with the single "Hoshi no Nai Sora." The single will be available for purchase in Japan on May 30th. The band are currently touring across Japan with the new lineup. It has also been confirmed that Ladybeard, another founding member who left the band in 2016 over contract disputes with a former executive within the band's management, will return to the fold for one B-side on the single's physical release.

this is pretty solid overall. I don't enjoy enjoy it as much as songs from the OG line-up, but I think overall this is way more promising than most of what they put out as a duo.

This isn't awful, it's just...nothing special. Much less gimmicky than the original incarnation of Ladybaby, but not as much fun. I honestly think I liked the "The Idol Formerly Known As LADYBABY" version the best. However, I feel like all of these alt idol groups are starting to sound the same. I miss when BiS and Babymetal were new and exciting. Now there are so many imitators
