This was a very decent game at best. They should not have put Classic Sonic in the game and should have focused more on fleshing out Modern Sonic's levels to make them more enjoyable. The OC character was fun for a bit and at least felt different, but I'd still rather just play as Modern Sonic. Just give me a game full of the type of quality levels that Unleashed's day stages had for fuck's sake

Sonic Mania basically everyone loves and Sonic Forces seems to be a mixed bag between achievement hunters like myself who love it, and more casual players who don't like the shorter game length.

i love trophy hunting, my contention lies with the extremely pedestrian plot and embarrassingly shite characters with somehow even worse voice acting. even the fucking Teletubbies are edgier than 3d sonic and co. it's like their target demographic is 5 year olds

Just give me a game full of Unleased day stages with only Modern Sonic. No werehog, no classic Sonic, no Tails/Knuckles. Just Modern Sonic with really fleshed out, NEW, fun, and fast levels

Modern Sonic has been a bumpy ride, but when they get it right it's so goddamn good. Generations, Unleashed (Day stages at least, werehog levels got boring), Colors, and Lost World are all great

Either way, the game's a solid 8/10 for me so far. Infinite's a cool ass character and nabbing the massive amount of collectibles and all the missions / boss battles are fun as fuck. Character creator rules too.

The only Sonic games I'd say to avoid are 06 and Boom for WiiU, especially Boom. At least 06 had good music, Boom was just abysmal

I can't be mad at 06', it was a bad game but it introduced Silver who's undeniably a cool character. I actually heard a lot of praise about the Sonic Wii games (especially ones like Colors)

Well I already said Colors was great, I was referring to Secret Rings and the Black Knight ones. And agreed that Silver is a cool character, but playing as him was not fun. Dude was hella slow, and his psychic powers were iffy to use

Yeah, honestly 06 could have been a great game if they fixed the controls and glitches. Bar some cheesy dialogue and the *insert meme kiss here* it had a pretty cool story. I still have yet to play the Black Knight series, is it really that bad?

Black Knight is not offensively bad, but it's very bland gameplay (swish the wiimote basically is all you're doing). Plus the story is incredibly bad, the bosses are wack, the environment is so samey, and the storyboard scenes are lazy. It at least looks good visually

06 would've been amazing if it wasn't rushed and the team wasn't split in half after the demo. The demo was actually great and played flawlessly with no bugs or anything like that

Half the team had to start work on Sonic and the Secret Rings, so that left the other half of the team to finish 06. Super unfortunate because that is part of why 06 was so bad

Sonic 06 was already delayed, why didn't they just give the team an extra six months to polish out bugs? Same situation with New Vegas although New Vegas managed to actually be a near perfect game bar the glitches.

I don't know dude, and you'd think they would want to focus on 06 considering it was the "reboot" of the series and the 15th anniversary game. Oh well, at least it isn't the worst Sonic game anymore

Tbh the Sonic Boom Fire and Ice 3DS title was actually pretty lit, they just botched the Wii U version. Also the Sonic Boom tv show has some funny moments.

I've revisited both the Sonic Adventure games and they are pretty bad lmao, anything that isn't a Sonic level or a Shadow level is so tedious and boring

Yeah, I remember having a great time playing Sonic Adv 2 when I was a lot younger. That said, it probably hasn't aged well. I actually didn't mind the Tails/Eggman robot levels, but the emerald hunting was terrible.

I'll probably cop Forces on a whim if I see it used at gamestop for ~15-20 bucks

Only thing I had trouble with on Sonic Adventure 2 was the Knuckles levels

Okay I've just gotta say, Stage 25 on Sonic Forces is the most broken shit ever, not in the glitchy way but in the unfair difficulty spike kind of way. All the other levels I've had near no problem getting A / S rank, but this one took me roughly an hour to beat + I was only able to get a C rank. That fucking giant sun laser that follows you is retarded, I ended up having to switch back to the Burst whisp to beat the level.

I S ranked that shit boi, took like 30 minutes tho because of said bullshit

So yeah, the final boss was hard as fuck because of the falling platforms on the second stage. 1st and 3rd stage of the final boss was easy though.
