ewwwwwwwwww
| |
Yeah, this wasn't very good
| |
Not feeling this at all. The bridge has SOMETHING, but then it just goes back into the boring chorus.
| |
icky video for a kinda icky song, the bridge part where Matt comes in on vocals is nice though, dude has a good voice
album will be a hard 3
| |
I'm glad that Kurt isn't a part of this farce
| |
where is jade when you need them
| |
It's still got the creepy atmosphere that their Kurt fronted albums had, but their first two singles seem bland. I have high hopes for the album as I love these guys.
| |
Well, at least we're getting some new Kurt Travis projects this year. These guys are way too talented to be making this lifeless music.
| |
the fuck happened to these guys
| |
Compare this video to connector
| |
First song was honestly great for reasons different than their last album was great, but this is far below par.
| |
Best song I've ever heard from these guys.
| |
@BlackMalachite You are an insane person. This is the most lifeless thing this band has ever done. There is no passion in this at all.
| |
Conversation Piece and No Place are so much better than this sound in every way
| |
agreed. Conversation Piece is one of my favorite albums of all time. I don't like No Place as much, but it's still a fantastic album.
| |
A Lot Like Alone, still, can't deny I enjoyed this, their previous albums shit all over this but for what this is it's not awful
| |
Found this to be better than For Shelley. Coate's vocals are dope and I'm hoping the rest of the album will match the energy of Conversation Piece. Though highly unlikely.
| |
Just more of a reason to appreciate Stolas's new album. They removed the screaming because of a line up change, but didn't change the energy.
As for the song, it isn't bad it's just... Not very good especially compared to prior works.
| |
The last single was bland af. This is about on par, if not a little better. But not by much.
Shitty situation for them because the majority of their contemporaries are going the complete opposite direction. It's pretty obvious this was a bad move.
| |
The sound of this is similar to The Receiving End Of Sirens' second album.

The sound of this is similar to The Receiving End Of Sirens' second album.
| |
ummm wtf ?? This must be a different band.
| |
I'm with you, @NewBallistics. While the sound is okay, they're only setting themselves back by trying to break out of a genre that they've been a massive part of. For Shelley was awesome to me, but this leads me to believe that the whole album is going to sound too much like they're trying not to be in that genre anymore.
| |
for shelley wasn't great but i'm loving this. not sure what you all are going on about, it still has the energy even though it isn't as heavy.
| |
This is the best song they've ever done
| |
^no
but this song just cemented in my mind how good arrington is at drumming.
| |
i get that music is subjective but if you think this is their best song youre fucked
assuming youre familiar with their stuff
| |
Arrington is awesome, man. The drum videos he puts up on Instagram are amazing, and that's mostly just playthroughs. That's what happens when you put a jazz drummer in progressive post-hardcore.
| |
ya if you are trained in jazz you definitely have a leg up on everyone else
| |
I swear to God, every time Kurt Travis leaves a band, the band's song writing goes way south.
| |
they sucked before but
this may be the worst thing ive ever heard
| |
i like it - though i am not sure why because i really shouldn't (like those vocals are overproduced) maybe i just want them to succeed so i am projecting that - drums are somewhat interesting in a guy-who-is-brilliant-drummer-trapped-in-4/4-kinda-way
just read someone comparing this to treos's the earth sings mi fa mi - maybe that's it?
edit: listened to mi fa mi again and it shits all over everything this band has ever done so i dunno
| |
Another new single came out. I'm pretty tired and this one really didn't help that, it was just as uninteresting as this one. I still like For Shelly a lot but I'm officially convinced this album isn't going to be very good
| |
Never enjoyed this band before but man this song was really fucking good. Consider me excited for this album, something very evocative about this sound. Lovely atmosphere. Good video too.
| |
the 4:20 length is a nice touch
which the production was a little more lively
| |
I'm enjoying the production, clean but not over the top.
| |
Could just be youtube compression; sounds a little flat on the video. Small gripe though, track is pretty sweet if not a little uninspired.
| |
i feel like Conor's guest part could have been more integrated in but I love that dude's voice so it was cool to hear here
