Spidergawd Change the Beat 2026-08-19 by John Marinakis CONTRIBUTOR | 2 Comments | Spidergawd have announced that founding drummer Kenneth Kapstad will depart following the conclusion of their ongoing InfiniTour, bringing his thirteen-year tenure with the Norwegian band to an end.
The group expressed pride in everything they achieved together and wished Kapstad well in his future endeavors. They also thanked him for agreeing to complete the tour, giving them the time required to select his successor.
Spidergawd have already found their new drummer, whom they intend to introduce in the near future. No reason for Kapstad's departure has been disclosed.
Kapstad co-founded Spidergawd in 2013 alongside Per Borten, Rolf Martin Snustad and his then-Motorpsycho bandmate Bent Sæther. He subsequently appeared on all eight of the group's studio albums, including 2025's From Eight to Infinity.

The bright sound is awesome, but would love them to get just slightly more aggressive sometimes.
