Demon Hunter(s) Drama 2026-08-20 by Alkemest CONTRIBUTOR | 6 Comments | Popular Christian metalcore band Demon Hunter has filed a trademark infringement lawsuit against the even more popular Netflix media franchise KPop Demon Hunters, alleging damages and confusion among fans. From the Los Angeles Times:
"In the suit, the plaintiffs cite instances where there has been “consumer confusion.”
On Feb. 26, 2026, someone requested a refund after purchasing $500 tickets to a Demon Hunter show in Albany, N.Y., believing it was for a KPop Demon Hunters concert, according to the suit."
I'm on team Demon Hunter personally, if for no other reason than the animation style of KPop Demon Hunters is absolutely atrocious and unwatchable for me. It's like watching a show in 15 FPS. No thanks.

The animation style in Demon Hunters (the movie, not the band in case you're confused) is the same that's used in the Spider-verse movies and I found it way worse in those movies. Also, looking it up, the CGI in those movies mixed standard 24fps with occasional 12fps which caused that jittery effect. It's way less pronounced in Kpop Demon Hunters (again, referring to the animated film and not the band, in case anyone is still confused).
