Epic leaves Crazy Town

2017-02-19 by DatsNotDaMetulz | 26 Comments
Brett "Epic" Mazur, the co-founder and primary song writer for rap-rock group Crazy Town, has announced that due to personal commitments he will no longer tour with the band. He had previously been absent from their 2016 touring commitments, with his place in the band covered by ex-Adema vocalist Bobby Reeves and Boondock, although it has yet to be announced who will be his full-time replacement in the band. Boondock is currently touring with Seth "Shifty" Binzer and DJ Rick "R1CKONE" Dickson in Crazy Town's more hip-hop oriented form for a number of dates in March.

Epic was essentially the talented one. He was the one that was actually able to sing and scream.

Their Darkhorse album is pretty underrated. I can think of 5 killer songs on that thing.

honestly i thought their debut album was like a 3, it had some catchy stuff on it. Butterfly definitely wasn't the best song. I know it's cool to hate them, but w/e

Haven't tried either of the other albums so i can't comment there. @bloc maybe i'll see if i like anything off darkhorse

Yeah, Dark Horse has some pretty good songs that I like to listen to from time to time, even though my nu-metal days are (almost) gone .. Hurt You so Bad (that guitar solo by Rivers Cuomo is fantastic), Decorated, Drowning, Waste Of my Time, Take It To The Bridge, Change, Beautiful - surpsingly a pretty nice song, Skulls And Stars, etc.. the whole album isn't as cringy as someone would expect from a popular nu-metal band from the early 2000's
There are definitely more complex, good nu-metal albums (first two albums from Mudvayne, Mushroomhead, Nothingface, American Head Charge, Dry Kill Logic), but Darkhorse is still a nice, good simple rock/nu-metal album

And we rather don't talk about their last album..
