Came in my pants as soon as the vocals hit, God damn they are nice. I am liking the song quite a bit, and that is a relief lol
|
| |
I was hoping for Spirit as in haunting/dark, not Spirit as in Where's the Revolution. Still, the track is nice.
|
| |
Loved it. I've been meaning to listen to some of these guys albums. Any recommendations as to which albums I should listen to?
|
| |
ooooo. diggin' it. unreal they still got it
|
| |
Violator has been heavy in my rotation lately but I haven't checked anything else. This is good though. Looks like I'll give this a spin
|
| |
^ hey I've been spinning that nonstop as well. Policy of truth maaaaan
listen to the Black Celebration album, it's fantastic
|
| |
Oooooh!~ This is pretty good.

gud song
|
| |
It's pretty good indeed.
|
| |
It's okay, thankfully better than expected. The tracklisting (and this song to an extent) lets me believe that this may have some sweet gloomier stuff after all. Hype
|
| |
ha patriotic junkies nice. this is great
|
| |
Imo they haven't done anything consistently good since Playing the Angel. Haven't found a convenient time to listen to this yet but I'm very excited
Also Black Celebration is the band's best album
|
| |
great track
|
| |
stoked
|
| |
this was just right, hyped for DM in 2017 wich is frankly amazing
|
| |
agreed, still sounding solid. it would be sick if they did a world tour and I could see them play some of Violator/Black live
|
| |
They'll probably tour for this album and of course they'll have to play some of the classic singles. I will def go if it does happen; it's now or never.
|
| |
loving this. it's motivated me to finally check their discog out.
|
| |
dude all great albums, black celebration and violator are perf
|
| |
this is in my discussions for some reason so fuck it ill check
|
| |
Lmao @ betray. Same thing here. I'm glad I checked it out tho.
|
| |
I hacked the article to make sure you ignorant niggaz learned this shit
|
| |
The Youtube comments are so butthurt about this song being politically focused, holy shit.
Song rules.
|
| |
Yeah the comment section is cancer. So many freakin idiots who are either false fans are too stupid to realize how political a lot of their early songs are
|
| |
A lot of the fans are, unfortunately, all too predictable, complaining that it doesn't sound like Violator, and how crap they've been since Alan left. It's all just nostalgia, reminding people what they were doing when they were younger and listening to that stuff way back when.
Alan has gone. End of.
Violator was amazing, but they've done that.
'Political' songs (even though Dave insisted Spirit isn't a political album) have been part of DM since at least A Broken Frame in 1982. Construction Time Again was 99% political.
Anyway, the song is good (and was written about a year before Brexit/Trump, so they're pretty prophetic). Poison Heart and So Much Love are the ones to look out for, apparently.
|
| |
Speaking of, one of the band pics for the new album is them all holding hammers similar to what's on the cover of Construction Time Again.
|
| |
I'm gonna see them in July, yaaaay! Half of the setlists are hits and the other half, new songs and some fan favorites. I wish they brought back Hole To Feed, that's such a good song!
