It's okay-ish-sorta-kinda-shit. It sounds like Beyonce! At the High School Disco
| |
Damn I thought they might break the good album bad album cycle
| |
Agreed. It's okay.. but thats really as far as it goes. Not really feeling this one. Might be the end of Panic! For myself. Too Weird To Live had some okay moments but this is just nah
| |
I thought Too Weird To Live... was fun enough to glance over how musically defunct it was, but this stuff just, I mean, this band used guitars at one point if my memory serves me correctly, now they're using the horn setting on a casio keyboard
| |
This shouldn't be surprising to anyone considering Brendan Urie is the only remaining member of "Panic! at the Disco". It really is just Brendan Urie's solo platform now.
| |
I miss the old Panic...with instruments. But his voice is still incredible, so it makes up for it. Good song.
| |
fucking ew
| |
Damn, he's got a good Sinatra impression and vibe going on; didn't like the start of the track too much (assume it's the uploaders fault, especially with that call out at the end), but other than that the slow swing on this is great.
| |
Last album was great. Not holding much hope for this, last 2 songs sucked
| |
Didn't he say the new album would be going back to A Fever You Can't Sweat Out? Liar.
| |
Sounds like it's just gonna be 'alright', just like Too Weird To Live
| |
This sounds more like what would be Brendon's solo project which at this point it pretty much is. It's a different direction than I might have hoped for, but I'm still interested in hearing what the rest of the album sounds like and where this goes
| |
The Sinatra vibes are the best part of this.
| |
"This shouldn't be surprising to anyone considering Brendan Urie is the only remaining member of "Panic! at the Disco". It really is just Brendan Urie's solo platform now."
Dallon Weekes is in it too
| |
Chorus is terrible, but the rest is decent enough I guess. As stated earlier, Sinatra vibe is pretty sweet. Probably won't listen to the album though.
| |
The fact he specified this is a tribute to Sinatra kinda makes me believe/hope this isn't the overall sound the new album will go for. I dig the song but wouldn't want a whole album like it.
| |
Band was better off with Ryan ross
| |
I dig this a lot... more unique than anything P!ATD has done in some time, at least to me. The combination of lounge music vibes and a trap beat is something I haven't heard done like that before, and I think it works really well with his voice.
| |
"Dallon Weekes is in it too"
He isn't a founding member. And currently he's the only "official" member other than Urie, which means next to nothing with how people join/depart from this "group".
| |
Not bad, I still miss A Fever days but i'm stuck in my teenage still so eh. His voice is fucking brilliant though
| |
"He isn't a founding member."
So? He's still a member
"which means next to nothing with how people join/depart from this "group"."
You do realize he's been a member for 5 years and 3 albums now?
| |
Man I don't give a shit if the band is essentially just Brendan at this point; they make good pop music now, I dig this song
| |
i thought too weird to live was extremely generic radio rock by p!atd standards. this song doesn't do much for me
| |
Brendan's voice has gotten better with age. Its beautiful. If only his songwriting was up to par
| |
"I miss the old Panic...with instruments."
because this song is nothing but urie singing, right
| |
this dude's voice will probably always force me to give them a chance.
| |
Pretty Odd is still kinda dope
| |
And they still make some decent singles. I like that one that's like 'if you love me let me GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooOOOOOOOO'
| |
pretty. odd. rules. legit will never understand the hate
| |
Yeah it's dumb but super fun
| |
miss jackson was the best banger this band ever made
pretty.odd. was average wannabe baroque pop
| |
Fuck the man can certainly sing but ugh there's no coming back after that last album is there
| |
Oh shit I'm digging this - I really didn't go for the last album, it went too much in a F.O.B/Cobra Starship direction, which was a shame as I always thought these guys stood out.
And while the production values are the same, this is really doing a fair bit for me - nicely done.
| |
"this album is TOTES gonna be like A Fever You Can't Sweat Out" Brendon Urie, 2015
- puts out two singles that sound NOTHING like A Fever
| |
Something about this guy's name has always bothered me. Oh yeah, probably the fact that he's just one letter away from being named Brendon Urine.
| |
he said it was like fever because it was combining a lot of different shit and it sounded fresh. not like stylistically similar.
| |
Nine In the Afternoon will not be matched.
| |
BeeRyan but it doesn't sound fresh at all
| |
His voice is amazing and keeps this track from being a complete bore.
| |
I chime inn with a haven't you peeple ever herd ovv
| |
this is pretty good, but it would sound much better with instruments. The electronic beats took away some "life" from the song.
This is better than almost every track from their last shitty album (except Miss Jackson and This is Gospel)
| |
urie is a vocal genius, he just can't write exceptional songs himself
| |
