New Blackmore's Night album

2015-07-07 by manosg EMERITUS | 8 Comments
Hard working folk/renaissance act Blackmore’s Night are about to release their new album on September 18. The upcoming 10th studio album, entitled All Our Yesterdays, will include, among others, cover versions of three songs; Linda Ronstadt's hit 'Long Long Time', Mike Oldfield's 'Moonlight Shadow' and a Maypole Dance treatment of Sonny & Cher's 'I Got You Babe'.

The announcement comes only a few hours after Ritchie Blackmore’s confirmation, on French newspaper Le Parisien, that he’s thinking of playing Deep Purple and Rainbow songs live again sometime during next June.

Ooooohhh!

Hopefully it'll be better than the last album, which I thought was quite average indeed. Plus Blackmore has recently stated he's thinking of returning to more rock-oriented material. Wonder if this musical idea will inflict on Blackmore's Night?

Who will sing the deep purple songs for him....

He always found good singers so I have confidence in him. Glenn Hughes might be a choice but I'm not sure they're on good terms. But I think they'll be more than one vocalist. The good news are it's not gonna be Joe Lynn Turner.

Very true, I feel like him and Hughes aren't on good terms but who knows , but how bad is it that he refused to work with Coverdale and now he's gonna play deep purple songs on his own ..

Yeah but he's a man that has always been on his own haha. Plus, Coverdale has deteriorated badly. However, Blackmore has always worked on his own terms and it was either his way or the highway. I consider him a genius but I would never be able to work with such a man.
