Oh so the album isn't going to be like the first one...

It looks like we might be in for the most musically boring hip-hop album ever with this one. The beat on this song is a snore, the Billy Squire sample on the last one was as by-the-books as you can get, and I can't even remember the first song because I blocked it out of my memory. At least his rapping is a little better on this one. Still though, the speed and flow are all he has going for him here because the lyrics don't have very much to offer at all.

my brother has this idea that the whole concept for the marshall mathers lp 2 (the dyed hair, the similar clothes and album cover) came at the very near end stage of this album's recording or maybe even after it. not gonna lie, he sold me on the image and i thought he'd finally stop screaming and featuring overtly mainstream pop stars to sell singles and might actually go back to the raw, hilarious subject matter and rapping style from his true slim days. however, this was just a bunch of trash. i don't see how he's not self-aware enough to realize that the technically-impressive flow or rhymes don't mean shit and that that's not what made him the rapper that he was in the past. ughhhh.

It's not really random though because it's used within the context of the song's topic ie his rapping skills, which I agree does not have much substance. But it doesn't make the lyrics bad, per se. They are not amazing but serve their purpose.
