LaMontagne Resumes Tour 2026-09-09 by John Marinakis CONTRIBUTOR | 0 Comments | Ray LaMontagne is reportedly doing well after collapsing during his September 5 performance at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium.
The 53-year-old singer-songwriter was performing "Jolene" when he suddenly fell backwards while holding his guitar. Members of his team immediately came to his assistance, and the concert was subsequently brought to an early conclusion.
LaMontagne's management later confirmed that he was treated by local emergency medical personnel for heat-related dehydration. Nashville experienced temperatures of approximately 101 degrees Fahrenheit that day, while concertgoers also described particularly hot conditions inside the venue.
Despite the alarming incident, LaMontagne recovered sufficiently to resume his Trouble 20th Anniversary Tour the following evening at the Louisville Palace in Kentucky. No further performances have been cancelled or postponed.
The ongoing tour features LaMontagne performing his platinum-certified 2004 debut album, "Trouble," in its entirety alongside selections from the remainder of his catalogue. The Weather Station are serving as the opening act.
The scheduled performances will continue through October 3, concluding with the last of three concerts at New York City's Beacon Theatre.
