Madder Mortem work on a new album

2013-03-31 by Voivod STAFF | 4 Comments
According to a news post launched in January 2013 at their official website, Madder Mortem are about to conclude work for an as yet untitled full length release.

Moreover, the band is searching for a new guitarist to replace initially recruited Patrick Scantlebury (of the Norwegian progressive metal outfit of Frantic Bleep). In May 2011, Scantlebury had replaced departing guitarist and long time member Odd Eivind Ebbesen. In the band's own written words:

We're looking for a new, permanent guitar player with broad musical tastes, but with roots in rock/metal. We're finishing our 6th album now, but we'd love to have a guitarist that wants to contribute creatively on the next album. You should be ok with playing a 7-string guitar and learning our back catalogue. We rehearse in Odalen, approx. 1,5 hours north of Oslo.

If you're interested, get in touch for a chat and an audition. We'd like you to select a couple of songs from our albums and learn them for the audition.

It was about time for a new album.

On another note, they are probably searching for a guitarist residing in Norway.
